I strongly advise against hiring AK HOME RENOVATIONS. My experience has been terrible. Search them on google and facebook for more terrible reviews. They started my kitchen fitting but did not finish the job, leaving my kitchen unusable. Constantly asked for full payment up front despite not doing work. Lied about what was agreed on despite WhatsApp chat and told me it was not "admissable". They promised to show up to complete the work over 10 times and repeatedly failed to do so without providing any reasonable explanation. When I confronted Keleigh, she was extremely unprofessional and even swore at me several times. Embarrassing. This ordeal has caused me significant stress, financial loss, and disruption to my life. I have since reported this company to Trading Standards for their appalling behaviour and untrustworthy practices. If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid them at all costs. I urge MyBuilder to investigate and remove this company from their platform

Disappointing is the overall feedback. See below: 07/02 - Agreed a job to fit 2 internal doors at a cost of £130. 20/02 - Door was fitted, but an issue with the bathroom door lock was made aware to me. Ravaun agreed to come back and sort the lock. The job was paid for with the agreement that he would come back and resolve. 21/02 - The door handle company confirm the error was made by the fitter, as each part is cut to size. This made sense as Ravaun took the part with him, so I couldn't share pictures with the company I purchased it from. 26/02 - I followed up as I hadn't had any updates. Ravaun confirmed he was on leave and I wished him well for the holiday 11/03 - I followed up again as I hadn't heard anything. No response received. 16/03 - I followed up again. Ravaun confirmed he had extended his holiday. 02/04 - No response to message 03/04 - A response to confirm date 09/04 09/04 - No show. Excuses about phone numbers and WhatsApp just made the whole episode even worse.

When meeting with Martin the first time, he came across as knowledgeable, hard working and reliable. We went with his quote as all the builders we had met he seen the most genuine in knowing what needed to be done. Sadly we have been proven wrong. Martin has since left halfway through the job after taking a large deposit and leaving the work unfinished, with no electricity in our kitchen, wires hanging out and no fitted bathroom suite. We discovered they had left after popping to the shops after 4 weeks of work and coming back to them cleared out. After inspecting the work completed we have noticed a long list of mistakes and issue. Most importantly, the fact they were completely unable to fit a kitchen following the very detailed plan. Which is now fitted incorrectly but will cost us too much to put right! The snag list is as long as our arm, from laying cracked tiles, to the doors hinges being in plaster. Having two young children he left us in a real dangerous situation. No bathroom, No cooking facilities and not being able to use the washing machine. When someone claims to have 15+ years experience I honestly expected better service and the ability to complete a job and behave like a reputable trades men. People like him really gives the trades a bad name.

Mark completed the job from start to finish on his own which included the removal of our old Kitchen including the removal of all old wall and floor tiles, wallpaper etc. Completing all the work to a high standard including electrical installations of new sockets and plumbing of the new sink unit. After Mark had removed our old Kitchen and completed the burying of unsightly exiting heating pipe work which we asked him to do the Kitchen was plastered from top to bottom walls and ceiling. He then was able to complete the Kitchen fitting to a professional standard which I commend including the tiling of the floor and walls, new skirting boards and decoration, installation of a new fuse board and checking the whole house electrical circuits and supplying certificates for all installations and testing. He also provided gas certified certificates for the gas hob he fitted. His attention to detail was exceptional. I would recommend Mark and would use Mark again in the future should I need to.
