Latest review:Kitchen Fitting-Chose JHC over other cheaper quotes in the hope of gaining a good quality finish but I was disappointed in the finishing. This was a great job for a contractor in a home that provided ample working space to fit new floor throughout, kitchen and decoration. Unfortunately I believe corners were cut to maximise the profit on the job and some 'make good' tasks came in as additional costs rather than being part of the quoted job. I have had to correct a number of subsequent problems with flooring, sockets and plumbing. In fairness to JHC, there were issues with the bamboo flooring supplier I procured, with them delivering some flooring batches of the wrong colour. However project delays were also compounded by the JHC plasterer not turning up on the day booked and decorators brought in while other works were still underway. On a positive note the decorators and tiler brought in by JHC were excellent and were grateful for the work and the assistance I was able to provide. The decorators will be back for another small project. Overall JHC worked hard to complete elements of the work. The project turned out to be far too costly. In future I would use separate and qualified specialist trades, with customer facing skills, for a job of this size and not generalists.
