An excellent, professional service. I have very limited scope for my extension due to being in a conservation area and limited space but Alex and the team were able to offer some great alternative ideas to submit for approval.

I would highly recommend Alex D Architects. We made contact with Alex via mybuilder when he replied to our job on the site. Alex was really responsive, making contact by phone initially and arranging a site visit very quickly before we agreed to move forward. Unexpectedly 2 different plans were drawn up which was a great discussion point. We then were able to meet face to face to finalise the submissions which Alex did on our behalf. Overall the level of service, the response rate and turn around time throughout the whole process was spot on and I would definitely recommend Alex and his team.

From the first meeting, Alex and his team have been excellent to work with and have guided us brilliantly throughout the process. Alex has provided great support at all times and made a huge effort to understand exactly what we wanted. His advice on various elements (e.g. cost saving!) was very much appreciated. I would highly recommend using Alex D Architects who provide a very honest, thorough, reliable and supportive service.

Alex was really helpful on our extension plans, he took the time to explain everything in great detail, offering advice about the ramifications of choosing one option over the other. Our drawings were just as we wanted and we're continuing to work with Alex on our plans to renovate the house. I would highly recommend.

We are only in the first phase of our project (planning) but alex has been great. Very helpful. He came up with various options and helped us to understand what was possible. He’s always been very responsive to emails etc.

I am writing this review about Alex as he has done an outstanding job for us.We live in St Albans and due to a death in the family my mother in law is coming to live with us.I looked up on line 20 – 30 different architects however just didn’t feel a connection with any of them and the truth was we didn’t really know what we wanted.I was recommended MyBuilder.com so pressed ahead. After reading hundreds of reviews for different architects I came across Alex D Architects. What impressed me was so many people said he was an idea man and would speak out if you were going wrong and would come up with ideas that perhaps you have not thought off.That’s what we really needed, someone to point us in the right direction and give his ideas as well.Alex asked us what we wanted from the house and explained to us he would follow our remit and also do what he believes would maximise the space and further value of the property. Then we could have a look at the plans and go with what we wanted and make any adjustments we thought we would need.He came around with his team measured the whole house garden, and within a week or so he had sent us my plans and his plans. Well what can I say!! Alex plans were so much better than ours.Our rear story extension would be 7m wide by 6m.The council have approved our plans and also Alex done plans for our loft which have also been approved.All through this process Alex has been available whenever I needed him even helping me when he was abroad. EXCELLENT
