Refit lead flashing on a wall to roof junction

Terry contacted me within hours of posting the job. He was able to complete the work next day at a reasonable price. The work has now been done and looks very satisfactory and should last a long time. I am impressed with Terry's speedy response and workmanship. I would like to have been quoted a price including VAT though.

    Leaking gutter

Terry responded to my ad within a few hours, offered a competitive price in comparison to one we had previously received, turned up the following day to do the job and called 20 mins beforehand as well. He was quick and discreet and left no mess behind. It's too early to say whether this has resolved the problem as we've had no rain yet! But fingers crossed. Pleased with our experience so far.

    Guttering

Too early to report results, will have to wait for next rainfall to check if gutter cleaning/repair is good. However, job was completed within 48hrs of contact, and within 24hrs of agreeing price and work. Quote was pretty much as anticipated. Terry Lethbridge was both professional and friendly.

    Small roof repair

Terry is a very experienced roofer and approaches his work diligently. He is approachable and accepting of unforeseen changes in the work scope and able to conclude and action them without fuss. The standard of work is very high and I would highly recommend him and use him again in the future.

Repair badly leaking gutter junction at front of house

Terry Lethbridge was asked to quote on a leaking gutter. Having previously been quoted £120, Terry Lethbridge quoted £190 but said that the cost reflected the reputation and reliability of the company. He said it would take two people to fix it. I agreed to the cost and a couple of days later he turned up alone. Within 10 minutes he had put a new junction on and I paid him. When it rained later in the day, the gutter was leaking as badly as it had before. I asked him to come back, which he did. However, he then said it would cost a further £250 to fix the leak. I feel completely cheated out of £190 (for which no receipt was provided). I would not recommend this company to anyone. We will now have to pay someone else to fix the leak.

    Answer from tradesperson:

Sorry to hear your disappointment but our original quote was to re-fix the gutter union to the fascia board this was not feasible due to the rotten timber which was shown to you on second site visit we then advised to fit a new outlet to discharge the water which would be securely supported with downpipe brackets unfortunate there can be extensive works required once works are in progress the rotten fascia could not be visible on our first site survey which was carried out at ground level due to health and safety requirements Kindest regards Terry lethbridge
