    Install loft hatch and insulation

Jamie and his boys did a great job. They were all very friendly, tidied everything up after themselves, and even did a little bit more work than originally agreed! I would have no hesitation in using their services again and recommending them to others looking for insulation/loft work.

    Loft insulation

Arrived on time, friendly father and son who completed the work and even took time to do some drawing with my 2 year old grandson. Cleared up after themselves including bringing down some bags of rubbish left my previous tenants so I could dispose of them.

Loft insulation quote - top floor flat.

From initial quote to completion Jamie and his son were friendly, professional, knowledgable and efficient. Jamie gave some great advice on his first visit regarding material options and wasn’t pushy at all - even when I had to reduce the original scope of the job. The work was carried out quickly and professionally and the space was left extremely clean (cleaner than it was before!) I’ll be getting Jamie and his team in for future jobs without a doubt. Highly recommended.

Jamie and his two sons did a fantastic job insulating and boarding my loft, I can’t wait to be warm this winter. Turned up on time, were really friendly and knowledgeable, the price was what I was quoted and they were very respectful. Would recommend them to anyone who asked! Thanks again 😊

    loft boards and insulation

We hired The Lakes to complete a full loft insulation, partial loft boarding and to add a water proof membrane to the loft roof. We found the Lakes to be friendly, professional, prompt and clear with responses. Their quotes were detailed, highlighting things in and out of scope and timelines. They also gave progress updates as they worked. The added bonus for us was that we found their pricing to be reasonable and they also highlighted a few other things to be wary of in our home that were problems we had not noticed. Work was carried out promptly and all mess was cleared at the end of both visits. Its honestly not often that you meet trustworthy and reliable trades folk and would hire them back without question. Thank you again and look forward to you coming back to help with insulation under our hallway.

    Loft insulation

This insulation expert is a liar and a fraud. After the payment made he left all rubbish bin bags at front of the house, in the absence of any persons in the house. It’s strange how he managed all 5 stars.

    Answer from tradesperson:

Firstly we are not frauds or liars! 1. All your paperwork stated we would not dispose of your waste. 2. You lied and said the loft was empty apart from a box or 2, loft was full of junk which took us 2.5 hours to clear and bag up, none of which you were charged for. 3. You also lied about sorting out a parking permit and said you had done it, I then incurred a parking fine because you forgot. Which you then said wasn’t your problem. 4. We went above and beyond we didn’t have to clean your loft out and hoover it all for free when you lied that it was empty, but we did anyway, and we certainly then were not going to be charged to dispose of your waste (the equivalent of a full 4 yard skip) for free, no where on your quote or final invoice did it state we would dispose of anything we make this clear before we begin any job. We also installed 400mm insulation in the loft and only charged you for 300mm. LEGALLY YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DISPOSE OF OTHERS WASTE WITHOUT A LICENSE!!
