    New felt roof
    The guys did a great job! Richard was very prompt in arranging to come and price the job. He arrived at the time agreed and gave us plenty of advice on our project and was quick in providing a detailed quotation. The work was completed to fit in with us and everything explained along the way. The guys were very neat and tidy and provided a very neat finish on the roof and extra cladding which we decided to have fitted. I highly recommend Richard.

    Roofing and Chimney repair
    I agreed to meet at my place to go through jobs / works to be carried. Date and time was nominated by the Builder, it was Saturday morning between 9:00 and 9:30 am. I rearranged my other commitments to accommodate a builder time. I noticed him arriving at front of my property, being on the mobile and drove away short time after that without entering my property and introducing himself. I left a couple of messages but no reply.

    Answer from tradesperson:

    i arrived at the customers property on the day and time arranged. There was no response, i called the number given which there was no answer. I waited outside for sometime assuming he was out or running late. I decided to leave, before i had got home he had left this negative feedback. Not sure i understand why if he was watching me through the window. All i can say is look at the hundreds of happy customers on this site and checkatrade.

    Re pointing and filling in.
    Richard did an excellent job of pointing and filling in holes. The colour match to the existing mortar was very good. He also kept me informed as to when he could do the job as the weather was bad on the original planned day.

    Laying of 16 600x600 paving slabs
    Richard discussed the work I wanted done and suggested a few minor alterations to make it more attractive. A good job quickly and reliably done and Richard cleaned and tidied up afterwards

    Garage flat roof check
    Quoted for job on 30/08/2018 and said work would start approx 10 to 14 days. Had to chase after 2-3 weeks and then work did not start until 10/10/2018. Window ordered was wrong size. Given choice of waiting for replacement window or modifying the one sent. Agreed to accept modified window as winter weather fast approaching and didn't want situation left any longer. Actual work carried out was to good standard, but cost rather high considering problems experienced and no discount offered.

    Answer from tradesperson:

    all windows are made to order leed times are usually 10 to 14 working days and i cant book a job in until it has been made and then has fit in to my diary. window company did make it to small and i did offer to have another one made. customer accepted window and modification offered and i fitted it to the garage. at the time the customer was very happy with it and made me many cups of tea, thank you. also carried out some brick work repairs for them free of charge. bit disappointed in negative feed back considering the mistake was the window manufacture not mine and i came up with a modification solution that they were happy to accept.

    Garage conversion with ensuite
    I had a garage conversion by Richard of Elmer Building Services. It entailed building a wall with an access door across the garage, so I still had a small area of garage left. A doorway was cut through an internal wall to make an en suite of a storage room. A window was then cut with a view to the garden in the en suite. I am very pleased with the standard of work delighted with the new bedroom and bathroom. Richard is a good worker he explains all that is being done and is very happy to be flexible with any minor details that I might have liked. Richard fitted and tiled the shower enclosure to an excellent standard and I am very happy with all the work. I would highly recommend this builder and have been very pleased with all the work. Richard is also happy to carry out any extras that might need doing and is very helpful with advice. I would not hesitate to recommend Elmer Building Services.

    New stud wall & doorway in old stud wall
    Very pleased with the work, high standards and very friendly. Also stepped in to repair a floor joist for us last minute. Since this job we have also had Richard in to do a false ceiling for us which we're really pleased with too. Fair pricing, not the cheapest but does good quality work which we appreciate.
