Dermot built two shutters to complement my wooden french shutters in my bedroom which has been butchered by someone in the long past. He made them out of MDF and made them match the design for the shutters below. He measured them exactly to the window space. It now provides a total coverage for my bedroom windows. He did a great job and even came back to help me with clear my front garden a few days later. He is thorough, trustworthy, clear on his pricing and cleans up after himself. What more can you want from carpenter? I would have no trouble hiring him again or recommending him.

We are absolutely delighted with Dermot’s work. It’s not just a shed, it’s much more than that thanks to Dermot’s experience, skill and knowledge. He has built our cabin in a difficult, confined space and every aspect of it is beautifully finished. We set him a tough challenge to make use of a spare fence panel in the design and he has done so with great skill and imagination. He is a first class listener and communicator and streets ahead in terms of his keeping you informed of what’s happening and when he will and won’t be on site. We certainly plan to use him again and wholeheartedly recommend him.

Dermot gave sound advice on building out a pantry storage unit. Work was finished by lunchtime and of a high standard.

Treats every project like he's doing it in his own house. He's very hardworking, clean and punctual. We have already hired him to do the rest of the house... won't be looking anywhere else. The attention to detail and rates cannot be beat. Also, he deals with a very energetic dog very well which is always a plus! Couldn't recommend a more trustworthy person for the job!

I needed a new back door, some bookshelves mounted half way up the wall and to replace a peculiarly shaped internal door. Dermot made me a beautiful back door and suggested a larger than normal window pane, which looks great and lets in lots of light. There was a tricky bit concerning the moulding which his experience meant he was able to deal with. He was very knowledgable about the bookshelves and the thickness the shelves needed to be. These too look great. All the work was done in good time and everything left in good order. Definitely recommended.

Dermot recently built a boiler cupboard with storage for us in our spare bedroom. It was a tricky job as it had been left in a bit of a mess by previous builders and there were lots of pipes and holes to build around and make good, we had a wonky wall etc. Communication with Dermot about the job was very good and he was punctual and easy to have around the house. Dermot worked very hard and even though it was a relatively small job for him he wanted to ensure we were happy with his suggestions and the end result. We are very happy with the work completed and would not hesitate to use him again in the future.
