Dermot responded very quickly to the job posting. Gave an estimate the next day which we accepted. The work was carried out on the day chosen and although it took longer than the 'couple of hours' there was no complaint from Dermot. He finished the job on the day and the work is excellent. I would have no hesitation in asking Dermot to do other carpentry or joinery work or in recommending him.

Dermot did a great job building us two big wardrobes in our bedrooms. He was very helpful in the design phase and very flexible with the changes we proposed while he was building. We are very happy with the quality of his work. The wardrobes ended up looking exactly as we had hoped. Dermot is very reliable and keeps his promises. We will definitely contact him again for our next project.

Dermot removed the old door and installed a new door, fitted perfectly into the old space. His craftsmanship is second to none, the finishing is immaculate and perfect. Dermot showed up on time and delivered finished product well within estimated timeframe. Excellent work!

Dermot did a fantastic job on replacing the doors under stairs. The doors now look very sleek, flash with the wall. He matched each join and lines perfectly. He completed the job well within estimated time. Excellent work!

excellent experience with dermot. i had shelving and cabinet units fitted into two alcoves in a bedroom. he replied to my job posting within one day and came to look at the job that same evening to come back with a quote. price was fair for the work required and would take 3 days. during the work he was flexible enough to arrive early in the morning before we set off for work and was tidy and clean with anything unfinished by the time we came home. amazing to see what he was manageing to create each day from scratch! really pleased with the final result, incredible attention to detail and straightness considering the alcoves were not completely straight or even. All the mdf shelves feel solid and sanded down to be perfectly flush with the wall. the cabinets are well crafted even and the doors fit and close perfectly. he also ended up having to take a plug socket out of the wall and replaster it further along which was helpful. all in all, a good worker and nice guy... understands that the best way to get repeat business and recommendations is to always do the best possible job!

We wanted a secure and attractive sturdy door to replace a gate and a front door from the 70s. First, Dermot's quotation for a new wooden front door was no-nonsense and fair. When he came around, he clearly explained what he would install, the type of wood he would use, the types of locks and the various security features we could expect. He was confident and knowledgeable, exactly what we needed. Ultimately, Dermot installed a hardwood door on a custom-built frame, cut and assembled on-site to fit an uneven door opening. His expertise as a locksmith, as well as carpenter came in handy to get the high security locks that we wanted installed, hinge bolts, security bars, and matching hardware. The job took slightly longer than anticipated partly because it was more complicated than originally thought, but he kept to the quote, never whinged and was a gentleman throughout the job. Despite being in high demand, he did not over-commit himself to other jobs as we've had other tradesmen do in the past. Came back to refit the lock after the wood expanded a little. Very happy with Dermot's reliability, quality of work and would definitely recommend him.
