Hired to replace broken roof tile and repair guttering. Started job later than initially said, Friday not Monday. No biggie. Did a reasonable job on the roof tile, bit scruffy where red die for ridge tile mortar had run but this hides the new tile to an extent, which doesn't match the weathered tiles. Very low quotation compared to others, where cost was £200 lower than highest. Caveat emptor however.
Re-ran section of gutter but this didn't fix problem, as I anticipated. Offered payment for further work replacing section of the guttering, but Mr Poole indicated that wasn't necessary and would replace that at no extra cost. Said would come Wednesday following. Nobody came. On contacting him by text I was told he had been ill and would come Friday. Nobody came again. No reply to text asking if he was going to return or not or whether I should employ someone else. No contact since. Consequence is that gutter leaks slightly worse than before and I'm no further forward with it. Couldn't really recommend Mr Poole as a result.
