You posted the job on my builder for a gas cooker installation and you shortlisted me, however when I arrived to your property and saw the job you didn’t have gas connection there. You wanted me to do the gas connection approximately 10 meter length for 22mm pipe from meter to gas cooker. I gave you the price £180 plus material. Total cost £345. When I finished the work you were really happy with the job. Saying you wanted my personal mobile number to call me again. I also did you a favour to fix your washing machine. After completion of the job and a lot of screaming and shouting from yourself you finally agreed to pay £180.Refusing to pay remaining balance £165. Keep saying I am not going to pay I don’t have the money and saying someone gave you a quote for the job including materials for £150. This is irrelevant as you hired me to do the job and accepted my price,as for me filling the documentation in after you signed that is ridiculous as why would you sign without me having filled it in? If you don’t have funds to pay for a service then you should not hire engineers until you can afford it.My advice to all trade people is please avoid this customer she doesn’t want to pay after job has been done. The whole issue was money related, you even expected me to pay for the materials, I am sorry but this is not possible.
