Hello, I'm Ian and I've been working professionally as an aeronautical engineer for 17 years, but in parallel I've been building up direct handyman, landscaping, decking, and other design & build skills for the last 7 years. I tend to specialise in woodwork, composites, furniture assembly, outdoor structures, and garden design, but feel free to message me to find out if I can help you with your current needs or specific requests. I understand that your home is your castle, so I am always courteous & respectful, and will listen carefully to what needs doing, before proposing designs to fit your requirements or carrying out the work required. I am typically available on Mondays for handyman/design work either in South Wales (Cardiff to Chepstow), Bristol, Swindon, or Oxford (but you can always check with me if I cover your area). Any other questions, please get in touch!

I am a handy person who thrives on completing high quality work so as to gain customer satisfaction. I'm a family man and have enjoyed working in this trade for 15+ years. My experience has been achieved from single room decoration through to whole house renovations including tiling and plastering. I have many customers who contact me to return and complete extra jobs (so much so I'm now on their speed dial).

Local handy person – clear communication, careful work Hi, I’m River. I’m a local handy person based around Newport. I know that not everyone feels comfortable having men come into their home, and that’s part of why I do this work — to offer a different kind of presence that feels calm, respectful, and easy to have around. I like helping people get those small jobs sorted that can otherwise hang around for ages. I work in a calm, practical way, and aim to make the whole process feel straightforward and comfortable. Clear communication matters to me — I’ll keep you updated, ask questions if needed, and make sure we’re on the same page about what you want. I’m happy to talk things through and find a solution that works for your space and budget. And if something isn’t yet in my skill set, I’ll be honest about that. I can help with: • Furniture assembly • Shelves, curtain rails & fittings • Minor plumbing (taps, leaks) • Light fittings & switches (where appropriate) • Painting and decorating • Garden work • General repairs and odd jobs If you’ve got something that needs doing, feel free to message — I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

I have worked in bude, Cornwall learning multiple trades since the age of 16 giving me nearly 15 years experience but have relocated to Bristol a couple years ago as my fiance works in the Bristol Royal institute.
