Right from the start, the whole project was a mess. The contractor ignored the specs and requests we had clearly laid out. Ordered the wrong amount of materials, which meant we were short on sleepers and gravel. The fencing he installed wasn’t straight on top, and one of the fence panels we ordered never even showed up. Didn’t show up until after 11 AM and often left by 2 PM Said would finish in a week, by the second week, the project was nowhere near done. Demanded payment even though the job was incomplete. When we refused to pay until the work was done and raised some concerns, he became verbally abusive. Insulted us in messages and phone calls, even making rude remarks about my decision-making just because I was pregnant. After we refused payment due to work incomplete, he took away materials and made a mess of drive. When we questioned the quality of work, he claimed no standard was ever discussed. At the end, leaving the house with newborn and daughter was a worry on my own
