Hello! Please read below before your shortlist me… Ed is an experienced Gardener based in North-east London. He used to work for the prestigious Chelsea Gardener but now works as a freelancer. He loves planting out, weeding, pruning and cultivating the garden and also provides maintenance services such as lawn mowing, jet washing and regular watering. His hourly rate is £40/hour. Day rate is £250. Parking needs to be provided by the customer and for locations in central London there is an additional fee to cover congestion charge, unless you already have necessary Gardening tools, in which case he will cycle/take public transport. Common extras: Compost is £10 per bag. Garden waste removal- £5 per small bag of waste. £25 for a ‘tonne’ bag. All waste is responsibly disposed of. Any plants or pots you would like me to source- price to be discussed. One-off and regular maintenance jobs are both welcome. Please note, any specialist tree works should be done by a qualified tree surgeon and I cannot offer any services involving the removal of Japanese knotweed. I look forward to working with you and making your outdoor space cleaner and greener.

We employed A.V Structures for the building of an external wall around our property, the removal of a garage and the installation of railings and gates. Throughout the 4 week programme we could not have been happier with their work. Arrival was prompt, their pace of work displayed energy and purpose. They were mindful of us and our neighbours and made sure the area was left clean and tidy at the end of each days work.in addition the workmen were courteous and kept us fully informed. Alex, the owner of the company, kept in close contact with us to assure himself of our satisfaction. He came on site at intervals to check that all was going according to plan. We therefore felt completely confident that quality and outcomes were important to him. Employing A.V Structures was a decision we were pleased to have made. If there is something too difficult for me or there is something i know others do better i will be honest with you. I wish I took the negative comments more seriously before hiring Edi for my bathroom but he downplayed them very well, promised a great quality of job plus the pictures on his profile showed jobs properly done so I trusted him. What a mistake! I had exactly the same problems as described in the previous negative feedback. Basic errors with laying the tiles – not only uneven lines but also wrongly cut tiles that left plenty of gaps (he even covered one of the gaps between the wall and floor with a sealant!, others with too thick layers of adhesive or grout, which just look awful). He wasted many tiles unnecessarily too and wasn’t even able to apply the grout correctly; missing many tiles, creating lumps and failing to clean the grout from the tiles after application causing their discolouration! Not to mention plumbing problems – leak that gets fixed only for a couple of hours and then returns. The quality of job is of an amateur, not a professional. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be an option to attach images to the feedback - I have plenty of them so please contact me before thinking about working with this person. He promised to correct the errors but I'm still waiting for this to be done nearly three weeks after the job was apparently finished. He is also avoiding contact. I hope MyBuilder will take relevant steps. My advice is – spare yourself the unnecessary stress and wasted money and HIRE SOMEONE ELSE!
