Ross said he would fix the panels after he finished work after 5pm on the 14th Febuary but he did not turn up and did not do the work and did not fix anything He made me withdraw money to pay him. He made me cry. I will have to get someone else to do the work Very upset.

We’ve been absolutely thrilled with the work from Oxbow Developments. The team was professional, respectful, and considerate throughout our complex renovation. Kerry’s communication was excellent — he kept us and our neighbours well-informed, explained each step clearly, and managed expectations around disruption. Our six-bed Victorian semi posed plenty of challenges, but the team’s problem-solving and transparency helped us make informed decisions with confidence. The craftsmanship — from beautiful brick and stone work to a stunning bespoke oak gazebo — was exceptional. Despite shared access and limited parking, Oxbow handled the side return extension, knock-throughs, underfloor heating, kitchen install, landscaping, and more with professionalism, care, and good humour. We wholeheartedly recommend Oxbow Developments. They’ve not just transformed our home — they’ve earned our lasting gratitude!

We initially hired Ben due to his positivity and can-do attitude during the quoting process. The quote was also competitive with the other two quotes that we had. Ben set up a contract and payment structure, with no up front fees, and was transparent throughout. Communication with Ben was excellent, who kept in regular contact and made several visits to ensure all small detail was covered prior to the build commencing. The work started during covid times and we were kept fully informed regarding supply issues and how Ben would change the schedules so that work could continue. We also made a major change from a single storey to double storey extension after work commenced which did not appear to be an issue and we were given a new payment structure and timetable drawn up. I was amazed how Ben and his team continued to work even with the issues that Covid had thrown up. The quality of the build was superb. They were very clean, tidy and considerate of the impact the build had on us and our neighbours. Ben and his team were professional and friendly throughout. We are very impressed with the work, the house looks amazing and could not have be happier with the work Ben and his team have done from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble as we constantly tinkered with things as we went along! I could not recommend him enough, definitely one of the good guys!

I cannot recommend J&H Carpentry highly enough. We wanted to replace 11 internal doors (high quality oak) along with a new floor in a very large hallway. Everyone gets that anxious feeling when choosing a tradesman when you don’t know one. The price was extremely fair, the quality of workmanship was exceptional. They are very friendly, professional and cleaned up beautifully after each days work. We now have a list of other things we want done! If you are looking for a builder in Somerset look no further, this fellow is an absolute gem. We needed a complete make over of the rear, side and front garden / patio areas. This work also involved removing the old patio area fixing fence panels and new panels. Richard undertook this work with his team and totally transformed our garden areas providing expert advice on drainage and some design work around garden walls and drain covers. The results are outstanding everyone who has seen the transformation has said "WOW". The building team (RICHARD PAUL MAISON JENSON) who we got to know over the course of the build were always polite and their work has exceptional quality, they were all grafters as well as being skilled. Richard's work is flawless, you don't need to do a snagging list, things are only carried out to his exact standard. Can't praise this fellow high enough, from start to finish and at every point during this project has been conducted in the most professional way. No hesitation what so ever in recommending Ricard Vowles and his company

Matt diagnosed the source of the problem, removed the faulty section and then re-rendered and texture-finished it. We were unlucky with weather and rain, but Matt kept coming back to do the job well, communicated clearly throughout and was also flexible with my timetable. Matt and his assistant were pleasant, tidy and completed each stage of the process efficiently. A very reasonable price too. We will definitely use his broad range of skills again as jobs arise and do recommend him and his team as reliable, skilled and competitively priced tradesmen.
