Get in touchAfter quoting for a single storey side extension / single garage we ended up having at alter the plans to just replacing the roof of an old coal shed / brick shed with corragated roof. These plans then developed into adding a roof over the alley between the house and the small out brick shed. Luke and Jerry did a fantastic job. They've got a great attitude to work (and life in general!) Despite several snags along the way (weather, materials etc) they were resilient and got the job done to a fantastic standard. Luke stayed in touch during exceptionally poor weather to ensure we were happy with the work and had no snagging issues. Get in touchDue to the adverse weather conditions the job has proved rather challenging which has delayed completion by a couple of months. Gary has stuck with it and but for a couple of cosmetic touches it is all but finished. We are happy with the result and once we have completed the decorating and flooring we will ask Gary to quote for a new patio and paving in the garden.

In all the years of owning a house we're had all sorts of builders in to do jobs, ranging from fast-talking, fly by night cowboys to smooth talking, uber-expensive charlatans out to relieve us of our hard earned money. Terry and the Starling Construction Team are none of these things. Firstly, his communication is brilliant and he will always answer a call or text, or if not, he will call you back as soon as possible. It's a rare treat to even get a call from a builder these days bur Terry is really responsive and helpful. Secondly, he is a man of his word and if he says something will happen, it will happen. I've genuinely been over the moon with the quality of Terry's work and his motto is "If I won't have it in my house, it won't be in yours" and that's 100% true as witnessed by me. He'll start something again from scratch if he's not happy. 10/10 builder, 5 stars, will use again. And again. And again.Latest review:Extensions-

Welcome! My name is Greg, I’m 34 years old and I’ve been working in construction for 19 years now, I started in June 2005 at the age of 15 and started an apprenticeship in bricklaying by September that year, I was never hugely fond of bricklaying however with the precise perfectionist attitude I have It turned out I was pretty good at it! Working for a mid-size building company with great values sent me down a path of getting to experience all the trades and try my hand at them, I became very fond of carpentry and tiling but the real passion I found was being outside patios and hard landscaping, I had a rich start laying copious amounts of Brazilian black slate which any tile/slab layer will tell you is one of the hardest to lay! Given that my specialities would have to lay in the bricklaying/ slab laying and general landscaping areas with a keen eye for design and love for the environment and horticulture of the land I approach every job excited to work with you the customer to help make your dreams a reality, Every job has to be perfect for me even to the dismay of my work force when I have taken work up if not happy, and quality over quantity always.
