Nanad and his team have been wonderful from day one. We have had them with us a number of weeks doing all the jobs they quoted for and more, they are fast efficient and courteous of the fact we lived in for a lot of the work. Everything has been finished to a great standard and we are thrilled with our house which has been completely transformed. We have already recommended them to friends and will continue to do so and hopefully have them back in future. They are creative, solve issues that crop up easily and without fanfare extremely hardworking and all round an excellent team! Thank you for everything! Emma and James

Gavin built me an outhouse at the bottom of the garden. The work was tidy and efficient and the result just what we agreed. This involved brickwork, carpentry and electrics, and all was done to a good standard and in a reasonable timeframe, even despite the snow! I would recommend Gavin to do this sort of work and would use him again if needed.

Choosing MM builders was the best decision we could have made. Initial meetings: They took time to ensure they understand our work. They never complicated matters nor tried to hide things in any fine print and provided us with a estimated schedule and explained we would be kept up to date at all stages. Works: Their knowledge and work ethic is amazing and is reflected in their work. They gave us confidence and built trust very quickly. Always willing to go the extra mile and used their expertise to help us rectify issues or make suggestions in areas we would have never noticed ot thought of. Sam, Ross, Bill & Harry were so pleasant to have around the house. They were very conscious of the 3 young children in the house of which one has additional needs. They minimised disruption which is very difficult when doing major work in a areas and were always friendly and polite. We had no issues in having them inside our property which is very important when completing works taking just over 5 months. They work with specialist tradesman (tiler, plasterer, etc.) who are equally good at their trades. MM were very professional when it came to liasing with Building Control and made sure they were involved and visited at all key points. The aftercare we received was as good as we had received throughout the process. I have no hesitation in recommending MM for any building works. If I was to ever undertake any works in the future, it would be by them and only them.

What to ask a Purley extension builder before hiring?

Before hiring an extension builder in Purley or extension building company in Purley, ask a few key questions to make sure you’re choosing the right professional for your home extension project.

What qualifications and experience do you have as an extension builder in Purley?

An extension builder in Purley should have a strong track record with similar projects and relevant building qualifications or trade memberships, such as the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) or TrustMark.

Will my home extension meet all building regulations and planning requirements?

Your Purley extension builder should ensure the project complies with Building Regulations and, where necessary, handle or assist with planning permissions. Ask how they manage building control inspections and what documentation you’ll receive once the project is complete.

What experience do you have with similar extensions in Purley?

Ask to see examples of their previous work, or view examples of their work on MyBuilder. Ideally projects similar to yours in scale and design. This helps you assess the Purley extension builder’s ability to deliver a result that meets your expectations.

How long will the extension take to complete?

Extension project timelines can vary depending on size, complexity, and weather. A typical single-storey extension might take around 8 - 12 weeks. Request a detailed schedule so you know what to expect and when key milestones will be reached.

Do you offer a guarantee for your work? Most Purley extension builders offer a guarantee or warranty on their work, often between 1 and 10 years depending on the project and materials used. This gives you assurance that any issues will be resolved after completion.

If you still have questions about the professional you are looking to hire, we have a full detailed guide on hiring the right builder here.
