Paul took on my project which was a half built extension which was left by another contractor in a bit of a state over lockdown. Paul's pricing of the job was fair and reasonable and he was willing to sign a homeowner construction contract and commitment to a programme. The guys turned up in numbers each day like clockwork and and we're considerate and easy to talk to about details of the job. Paul was really responsive via a WhatsApp group I set up for the job and fairly priced up a load of extras which I went ahead with. At the end of the job his guys returned to close out snagging and provide the electrical certificate as was agreed. Would recommend Oakwood Properties.

We hired Lewis Building Ltd to remove an internal wall, rearrange our kitchen, fit bi-fold and patio doors, and make changes to other internal/external doors. The quote we were given was clear and concise and detailed all the work required and what it would cost. Initially, we were pleased with the structural work that was carried out but when it came to fitting the doors and the finishing of our kitchen we found the work to be sub-standard. Thomas then added extra costs onto the original quote for work that had not been agreed. When we questioned him about this he failed to return to complete the job. I have text, phoned and emailed and not had a reply. All work that was carried out was paid for so he does not have any incentive to return and finish or correct our job. I have taken extensive photographs of the finish left by Lewis Building Ltd, including gaps in the external doors, coving falling off the wall and large gaps in mitres. I even had to contact the skip company to have the skip removed as it was still in our driveway 4 weeks after Thomas failed to get back in touch with us. If you do intend to use these builders for work then be warned of extra costs added, not turning up when arranged, poor finishing, constant cleaning up after they have been and the potential of walking off the job.
