Hi, my name is Sam. I’ve been in the building trade for over 15 years, I started my career as soon as I left school, found myself an apprenticeship with a local builder and completed my bricklayer certification with the local builder, doing one day a week at the city college. After completing my apprenticeship I decided to make the step and turned self-employed, still working for the local builder but subcontracting to him instead. The majority of work we undertook were extensions, conservatories, garden walls and patios all around the Norfolk area. Our role in the build was to dig & concrete the foundations/footings. Lay any drainage that was required; tap into the existing system or new soakaways. Complete all brickwork from foundation, then ready for roof. We would also prepare and concrete the oversite. After subcontracting to this local builder for 7/8 years, I decided I wanted a new challenge and got a good opportunity to start subbing to a bigger building firm, who’s work was mainly new build houses. I continued to do the groundwork and brickwork side of the build, just on a larger scale compared to the extensions/conservatories. We had a two storey extension built. The job involved building and installing a new utility room and bedroom above. However; we also required a bedroom converting to anew bathroom, a new boiler and radiators, an old bathroom converted into a passageway and an ensuite and the knocking down of some internal walls. One was to extend the kitchen and then install a new kitchen too. In the meantime Chris also dug out and relaid our driveway and built a new patio in our back garden. There has also been new guttering installed and a new damp course and french drains completed. Whenever we've needed any work done Chris has been able to find a solution, help us to complete the work and always been cheerful as he's done it. Our house was quite a challenge (being old) but every time he's managed to keep in budget and on time. Things have gone wrong on occasion (through no fault of Chris) but he's always kept us up to date and helped to solve the problem. He was on time and on budget with everything and if the cost went up it was because we required a stronger RSJ or he had found an issue that took more work to do. His team are cheerful and honest and he also helped us find an electrician and plumber and even found an excellent kitchen fitter. We are very pleased with everything he has done for us.

Andy came to remove and reconstruction a deck leading from our conservatory and driveway gates. We were very impressed with the work we added two lower decks plus lawn edging and decorative stone circle. The extra work added as the deck looked amazing and wanted to improve the rest of the garden. He made some great suggestions and amazing planters out of the wasted material. We will definitely be using his services in the future
