Driveways (Paved & Loose)- 10 Jan 2026
Hired for a large multilevel sandstone patio and tarmac driveway. Easy quoting process. completed to cost and as per description. They were open to making alterations where needed and completing finishing touches when pointed out. They were also adaptable to coming back and completing a different solution for an area of driveway that they were unable to complete, they came back completed a concrete pad. Areas of improvement from a homeowner perspective are - working surfaces could be better protected with boards etc to prevent concrete staining. - Some damage left to my hose and spray handles which was used but they were agreeable to deduct costs for replacement which is fine. -A reconfigured drain pipe was left leaking, requiring another trade hire. Follow up: Had one small sandstone paver come loose within weeks, possibly because it was too small a cut and because the back of the stone didn't have mortar? It's a small repair but they haven't yet returned to repair. Overall good

I wanted a side infill extension, converting a one bed into a 2 bed. The works was undertaken by Coulsdon Builders which took around 8 months. I made several changes throughout the project hence the delay. They were so accommodating and never had an issue and was always happy to cooperate. The cost of build was £120k and we stuck to the budget. I am delighted with the works and am grateful they made my house a home. They were clean and tidy on a building site and always kept me updated on progress. This is one builder that I highly recommend and trust. Great work guys and thank you again!

Rhys and his team have good skills and quality on all the extension works including big/long steel beam installation, extension connecting to the existing structure, complex loft conversion and architectural curve hung ceiling. For the internal decorating, they completed a beautiful bathroom for us. The staff were polite and friendly and also provided technical suggestions to optimise the design time to time. I would recommend RJB for similar size extension construction projects and decoration work.
