They carried out a full ground floor renovation: full plumbing (including water and heating), rewiring, plan reconfiguration including change of load bearing walls, kitchen and bathroom fitting, tiling, plastering, painting. Restoration of parquet flooring due to change of floor layout, internal door frames and doors installations. Minor related repairs on the first floor: radiator replacement, creating more space for stairs. Progress remained steady and well-managed throughout. Team was autonomous (like checking with structural engineer/architect/building regulations without our involvement), and if the input was required due to insufficient details/designer solutions we were involved as expected (as we wanted). The project stayed broadly within the agreed budget and time. The slight overrun was related to an additional foundation needed, which was not planned initially. Need for additional foundation was due to structural engineer calculations and building control.

Jack and the team have been amazing from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We discovered issues with our 1930s foundations, damp issues and more and Jack resolved everything without adding any stress to the project! They finished the project on time and on budget and we couldn’t be happier with the work they’ve done. What’s more, Jack, Simon and Harry are all really nice, friendly and helpful guys and a real pleasure to have on site! They completed our single story extension in a little under 10 weeks, exactly as planned. Great quality at a reasonable price and the whole process was a real pleasure! Definitely recommended!

I initially discovered GPR on ‘My Builder’ having purchased a new property in Stubbington which required some extensive works completing in order to convert it to a family home. Both Jon and Lee Griffiths arrived at the property for initial consultation, and I was impressed immediately by their professional approach. I must be honest that their quotation was not the cheapest, however, I was so impressed by their approachable attitude, I took the plunge to employ them. I purchased an old 2 bedroomed bungalow on a very large plot, GPR have now converted the property to a 3 bedroomed house. The works were extensive, and required the roof to be removed and replaced and 3 bedrooms and a shower room being built upstairs; there was also a large extension built out the back of the property. Both Jon and Lee project managed the build from start to finish, and ensured daily communication with my wife I became a daily occurrence. The house was completely re-wired and re-plumed using the latest technology; and the finish of the house is can only be described as stunning. I have received laudatory comments from both neighbours and other residence in the cul-de-sac for the way GPR builders operate. They are clean workers and very considerate the impact that the works have on those living in the immediate vicinity. I found both Jon and Lee instilled great confidence in their ability and have quite simply delivered a home for my family which has exceeded our expectation. GPR Builders liaised directly with Fareham’s Planning Office and Structural engineers throughout the entire build. The final product is a beautiful home for my family, with an exemplary professional finish. I would recommend GPR builders to anyone without hesitation, it has been a pleasure to work with them on my family’s project – we are now in the process of moving in to our new home.

Firstly I would like to thank Scott and his team for their hard word completing our Porch build on schedule despite the cold and very wet weather throughout January. Scott is excellent at his job ( ground works and bricklaying ) and knows when he needs to bring in other trades to complete the project. Always on site when he said as with the other trades he booked. He kept me up to date throughout the build. We are very pleased with our new Porch and impressed with S.K Building Services work ethic and would highly recommend given them a chance to quote your building project.
