We needed a rear extension built with an internal courtyard. From day one when we first contacted Mert to get a quote he was professional and easy to talk to. His quote was good value for money. During the job he and his team were approachable, careful with our property and always easy to talk to and answer questions we had. Peter was the on-site foreman on our complete house renovation, which took just over a year. This included an additional ensuite pod bedroom in the roof and a side-return and extension to the kitchen. Peter was totally reliable throughout the project and thoroughly professional. Throughout this time we were living in the house with the children. He was always on time, managed the on-site team well and communicated clearly with us. His workmanship is high quality and he was also a stickler for checking the work of others and getting it updated if it wasn’t up to scratch. I have no hesitation in recommending Peter.

From start to finish, they have been absolutely fantastic. The attention to detail and the quality of workmanship throughout the project has been exceptional. Matt and his team are incredible, they worked efficiently, kept work on track, and made sure we were updated and involved at every stage. Their skills, ideas, and collaborative approach truly brought the whole project together. Communication throughout the project was good, and the team provided great pre and post project support. We hired this builder for a 2-metre rear extension and a very large garage extension and we’re really happy with the result. The project needed a pile foundation which is a bit more complicated, but they handled everything very professionally. They listened to what we wanted and kept us informed at every stage, which really helped as we were living in the house while the work was being done. The team were friendly, easy to deal with and worked to a good standard. Overall a very good experience and we would happily recommend them.

Tiling- 16 Feb 2026
Luis did an excellent job on my bathroom. He had to do a lot of prep work before starting the tiling, including rebuilding the floor and repairing the walls. At every stage he explained what needed to be done, ensured that I wanted to go ahead, listed the materials that would be needed, and the cost. It made a huge different to me that Luis was willing to source and purchase all materials; he checked in with me from the suppliers as to choice and cost, and sent receipts for every penny. I cannot recommend him highly enough, for his knowledge and expertise, his honesty and hard work, and also for being such a lovely person, nothing is too much trouble. I am delighted with my new bathroom, and am planning more home improvements with Luis, when he is free again!

I was very pleased with this company so much so that they are starting a new job for me November 15. The building firms carried out a full loft conversion for me installing bathroom, brickwork, joinery, plastering, Roofing and installation of windows and double glazed doors. I have high standards and want everything to be completed in the same way, the workmen respected my home and always left if clean. My main contact was with the owner of the company Dwight Lynch, he was very flexible and Nothing was too much for him to do. He has an attitude which I like in a builder "customer not always right but must be happy" he provided me with ideas along the way and where things did not go to plan due to my own instructions he worked around the issue and provided suitable alternative options. I was very happy with the pricing of the job and feel that certainly I would recommend him and also I would use him again. He and his workmen were all trust worthy and I gave them keys to my house to carry-out work whilst I went on holiday. I had no concerns when I came back everything was as I left it.

What to ask a Canary Wharf extension builder before hiring?

Before hiring an extension builder in Canary Wharf or extension building company in Canary Wharf, ask a few key questions to make sure you’re choosing the right professional for your home extension project.

What qualifications and experience do you have as an extension builder in Canary Wharf?

An extension builder in Canary Wharf should have a strong track record with similar projects and relevant building qualifications or trade memberships, such as the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) or TrustMark.

Will my home extension meet all building regulations and planning requirements?

Your Canary Wharf extension builder should ensure the project complies with Building Regulations and, where necessary, handle or assist with planning permissions. Ask how they manage building control inspections and what documentation you’ll receive once the project is complete.

What experience do you have with similar extensions in Canary Wharf?

Ask to see examples of their previous work, or view examples of their work on MyBuilder. Ideally projects similar to yours in scale and design. This helps you assess the Canary Wharf extension builder’s ability to deliver a result that meets your expectations.

How long will the extension take to complete?

Extension project timelines can vary depending on size, complexity, and weather. A typical single-storey extension might take around 8 - 12 weeks. Request a detailed schedule so you know what to expect and when key milestones will be reached.

Do you offer a guarantee for your work? Most Canary Wharf extension builders offer a guarantee or warranty on their work, often between 1 and 10 years depending on the project and materials used. This gives you assurance that any issues will be resolved after completion.

If you still have questions about the professional you are looking to hire, we have a full detailed guide on hiring the right builder here.
