I also have vast knowledge working on fire doors and fire stopping, where I sub contract to J W Simpkin a major fire specialist company. Small maintenance jobs or large jobs would not be a problem.

Right from our first discussion, and seeing where the conversion was going to be carried out in the house, Paul gave me a very good feel regarding his approach, knowledge and professionalism towards the job. Within a few days the quote promised duly arrived. The quote was very thorough indeed, clearly stating(as discussed) what had to be done, with part costs, and the overall cost. All the tradesmen working alongside Paul turned up when he said they would, fully supporting the professional job Paul was doing himself and in charge of. Paul often showed me what was going on, especially where foundations needed digging and steel fabricated concrete used to support an existing resin driveway. After discussion Paul organised everything. Materials, Skip, keeping the work area tidy, excellent. A finishing date was given, and if it hadn’t been for some unbelievably wet weather in mid-November, pebble-dashing of the outer toilet wall would have been finished on time too. Three separate payments were discussed; deposit, new window and toilet hardware, plus final payment. Paul is a very good communicator, showing a lot of pride and satisfaction in the work he does. I would completely recommend Paul’s company to anybody thinking about small, medium, or large building/conversion jobs. Many thanks, Richard.

Jake’s a friendly and polite man. Very amenable. His work ethic is exceptional, always on time and just gets on with the job. The bricklaying was excellent quality. All old material taken away and everything cleaned up as he went along. I can’t recommend Jake more highly. Would certainly recommend him to anyone I know wanting building work done. Fire damaged stonework above an electricity meter box and around a kitchen window. An awkward job but DSR were able to rise to the challenge. They turned up when they said they would so the job could interface with the window installers. They were also confident and competent enough to work in the vicinity of the meter box without the need to require disconnection which maintained our electricity supply. The quality of the finished stonework was very good and the lads were pleasant on site. All round good job and very satisfied, would easily recommend.

Ian undertook some lintel repair work for us on our rented garages. We were happy with the first few repairs, but the last two were rushed and the work was left incomplete. Because the walls and lintels were not strapped correctly, the lintels have slipped, leaving the structure unsafe and unsupported. I have tried to resolve this amicably over the past few months, but he continually found reasons to delay fixing his mistakes. He is now completely ignoring calls and messages. We had more work lined up for him, but we will now be using someone else as we can no longer trust him to complete a job to a satisfactory or safe standard.
