NGS were great the job was carried out with in 4 hours of dropping the kerb. They were on time and very good on communicating with us about what was happening. Along with aftercare on how to keep the kerb maintained and any work needed to be followed up council related was all done for us by them. A really good company

Ben worked on a single storey extension at our property between August 2023 and January 2024. Despite several complications, including access issues for machinery due to the location of our property, nothing seemed to phase Ben and he always found a way to make things happen, where other builders had been put off. He kept us regularly updated with weekly progress reports, setting out what work had been completed and the schedule for the coming days and weeks, which we found really helpful. Having never had any building work done everything was new to us but Ben instantly put at as ease and we knew we were in safe hands! Ben also explained any changes he needed to make and was happy to talk through the different options available, always explaining things clearly so we could understand. Payments were also clearly set out so we knew what we were being charged for and when. Ben and his team were a pleasure to work with. They were always polite and courteous and very tidy, making sure the site was cleaned up and left clear of safety hazards at the end of each day. In terms of communication, Ben was always very quick to answer messages and come back with the answer to any queries we had. The team arrived punctually on site each day and we were always updated if there were any changes to their working pattern. Ben was also very considerate to our neighbours when he needed access to their garden in order to complete the work. Our extension was completed to a very high standard and we are extremely happy with it. I would not hesitate to recommend Ben and the CRD team to anyone undertaking a building project.

Stuart and his crew did a great job repairing an old stone wall, despite the wet weather making progress slow, laboured (!) and difficult. The crew on site were friendly, knowledgeable, cleaned up after themselves and are a real asset to the company. Questions and concerns were handled professionally, courteously and within 24 hours. Would recommend and use again in the future.

I posted a job on MyBuilder and received a quote from Gary @ Giraffe design & build, the quote was a fair price for the work I required and a date was set. Gary and his team arrived on time and set to work after we reconfirmed what was being done, they were left to work and made a cracking start to the job, so by the time I returned home all the prep work was done ready to start building the wall the next day, when they left, they left the site in a tidy condition, that was safe and secure. Over the next two days they preformed in a professional manor and finished a day ahead of schedule. On completion of the job I was asked if I was happy with the work carried out and the service they provided, to this I can confirm that I was happy with the work and service and would recommend them to anyone requiring their services. I've even asked to quote for other jobs I have in the pipeline. Well recommended company.

Byron has done an excellent job. He dealt with the demolition and the replacement with expertise and care. He removed all rubble and left the place spotlessly clean and tidy. When adjustments needed to be made he did them willingly and well. We can highly recommend By Design.

Rob and the boys did a fantastic job with our extension. We had an existing galley kitchen, and we wanted a porch/extension at the end to complete it. Rob was very flexible with changes and explained everything in simple terms to a building novice. It took around two weeks with some less than ideal weather conditions, yet this didn't massively affect progress. I also had some other work going on with the house, some of which impacted Rob, however nothing was too much of an issue. Very trustworthy, punctual, polite and does a fantastic job - couldn't ask for more really. I'll be using you again, Rob, thank you very much.

I have been in the building trade for 30 years, doing all aspects of building solving any problems that may arise. I have built extensions, loft conversions. Fitted kitchens and bathrooms. Plus other smaller tasks such as gutters and fascia boards, roofing, tiling, flooring, painting work and decoration. Anything related to building except electrical work but I have an electrician and plumber who I can call in if necessary. Because I can put my hand to most trades I can complete the task in hand from start to finish, therefore not leaving until the job is completed. I am not vat registered so my estimate will hopefully be competitive.
