Imperium Works Ltd was absolutely wonderful to work with on our new beautiful extension. Freddie, Kaz and Dan are a great team. I felt they were friendly and professional throughout. Any slight niggles were discussed and solutions found, quickly and professionally. They were respectful and went out of their way to get on with all the neighbours. I did my due diligence on Vullcan, but things went downhill. After a week i got a pre-tax invoice for £3000 for a more "complex" drainage system which was already completed, this was the start of them trying to get around contract items and look for every way possible to charge extra fees which i can’t go through in the word limit here. When that dint work they refused to do the work. e.g. they literally installed a tempered glass sheet, with liquid glue on my roof and stated to me that this was a "roof window". I had to show them buildings regulations that this was unacceptable and illegal especially when our contract said it has to be a VELUX ROOF WINDOW! Promised a 6-8 week completion, this is 9 months later. I had now paid about 90% of the original bill and 100% of additional costs. The final payment was due after completion and a 2 week snagging period. But the demand for payments started, with threats to sue. This was laughable as they hadn't completed the job. •The roof was leaking •Electrical issues with the fuse box and multiple light /electrical points •Outstanding items •The buildings controls company stated they would not be able to sign off on the building work because of outstanding issues, which I wouldn’t have even known as they lied stating they HAD the certificate. I agreed to send a FULL payment to an escrow company and pay HALF of the costs so they can complete and fix safety issues but they refused! Shameful experience.

We had the best experience with Paul and team from the beginning and would 100% recommend him for any job. From the beginning the communication was great, he gave a quote and then didn't chase us for an answer as there was a couple months in between before we confirmed. Once confirmed, he booked a date in. Tim and James turned up at 7.45am every morning, lovely guys who got on with the job and were always polite and friendly. They were also extremely clean and tied up everything as it was before they left. So happy with the finished job and definitely use again for any further work. Thanks Paul, Tim and James!

We hired Luca for a job that involved a variety of work across our entire flat. Being totally new to renovation work and having been stung by other builders, meeting Luca was a breath of fresh air – he was friendly, helpful and honest. Luca did an great job for a very reasonable price. He’s fairly new to contracting bigger jobs, but he’s got a lot of previous experience as a tradesman and his plastering in particular was perfect – we’ve had loads of compliments on the quality of his walls and ceilings. He was always on time, always communicated with us fully, and was a pleasure to have around the flat. He made a real effort to keep disruption as minimal as possible and was very patient with us about stuff needing to be moved from one place to another. It wasn’t the easiest job and there were a couple of problems and extras, but Luca takes a lot of pride in his trade and worked extremely hard to keep us happy. We had a couple of plumbing issues arise but he went well above and beyond to resolve them, coming back for 2 days after the job was due to be finished to make sure that everything was working properly. This is far more than we expected, and we did really trust that Luca wasn’t the sort of person that would leave anything unfinished. We’re so chuffed that we met Luca and with the excellent work he did, and would love to work with him again. Luca is going to go on to big things, so if you get the chance to hire him now, we'd recommend him without hesitation.

Worst job ever. The first day he came at 10.30am started the job left at 9pm said it would take a day & a half. The next day he said he would be here at 8.30am again he came at 10.30am & his words were I’m going to finish in 2 hours maximum. By 3pm he still hadn’t finished & I heard him speaking to someone on the phone saying that he would be there in 45 minutes.then he told me he needed a part for my job & he would be a couple of hours, he came back 4 hours later without a part.Again he was here till 9.30pm. He said he had finished. I went to look and his work was bad. I complained he said he would come back the next day. the next he said he had finished & I told him I wasn’t happy he came back the next day. He tidied up his mistakes.he shaved the bottom of the door off a bit as it wouldn’t close coz of the new tiles & he left, as he was leaving he said please give me a good review. I said I’ll tell the truth & he said but the truth isn’t good. He didn’t stick the threshold back on.
