Andy completed many tasks within this job which were all completed to the highest standard. Extremely professional and reliable, Andy got through it all as estimated and expected. Andy replaced an electrical consumer unit and provided the certification as well as various other things we needed. This included replacing light fittings, dimmers, installing a flood light in the garden, front porch wiring fixing. Phil is a very pleasant person and did a good job. He explained the various options to me before starting the work and also their drawbacks. He explained that the wall concerned in my 1930s built semi may not be thick enough for the new backbox which could result in the hole coming through on the other side. Also that the wall was made of flimsy material which would crumble when hacked into and that it would be difficult to get a fixing. He had earlier mentioned the option of leaving the single gang backbox intact and mounting a special 3-gang socket on to it. As I had already purchased the 3-gang metal backbox and socket I decided to have this installed. In the event, the wall proved to be just thick enough to accommodate the new 3-gang backbox and he has used glue to fix the backbox and socket. I will see tomorrow how effective this has been once the glue has set. Fingers crossed.
