What a lovely man Brian is: he came, he saw (the mess) and he conquered! He quickly understood what was wanted and he kindly brought samples of different bricks to the house in advance. He and his two (very nice) workmen built a beautiful retaining wall in the garden, having dug out quite a large amount of soil and crumbling sleepers. The mess was disposed of quickly in a skip and they were immaculate in their clearing up. The homeowner wants further work doing and would be happy to employ Brian again. His price was neither cheap nor outrageous and his work (and the team's) was top quality. He is a very experienced builder who was very happy to listen to exactly what the homeowner had in mind. Firstly I have to say the windows look fabulous. They have completely changed the look of the property. From the first initial contact they were really nice, David came out and talked through the options, he worked out the price for us which was very good compared to what we have had previously. We placed the order and within 24 hours we had a call from the office to book in a survey and an installation date. The surveyor came out on the appointed date, went though everything we wanted and measured up properly. We were booked in on a Wednesday for installation but Jordan gave us a call the week before to ask if it was possible to start a bit earlier on the Monday because they were ahead of schedule, we didn’t mind that at all. The installation itself took 2 1/2 days to complete. Chris and Ian the installers did a great job, made sure everywhere was clean and tidy before they left. They are a credit to the company. Steve was professional from the time he came around to look at the job (building a concrete slab for a pergola) until the time it was finished. He responded to our messages really quickly, was polite and courteous and came up with a solution when something didn’t go to plan. His team started on time, were helpful and friendly and worked hard - they didn’t stop until they had finished the plan for the day. The end product was better than we expected and everything was tidied up at the end, so it almost looked like they’d never been! We are looking forward to Steve fitting the decking on the pergola and have been so impressed that we are going to ask him back to do some more landscaping work. Thank you Steve and team. Would highly recommend.

Cairns Construction worked at my property recently removing roof from three stables and replace with new board and felt. There was also a large tree which needed trimming back before this work could begin, and Joe arranged for this to be done by a contact of his. Joe and the boys were very pleasant and polite. They arrived early each morning and worked extremely hard all the time they were there. They went to a great deal of trouble to clear up after themselves when they had finished, and actually left things tidier that when they arrived! They finished the job in three days, as they told me they would, and for a very competitive price. I hired Houghton's landscaping & groundwork's to install a concrete base for a summerhouse. Mike and his team were fast, efficient and tidy throughout the work. On the back of this I hired Mike again to do the rest of my garden. Again Mike and his team did all the work I wanted to a high standard which has left me with an amazing garden. Would definitely recommend Houghton's landscaping & groundwork's.

Mick, Dean and James have done an amazing job with my garden, totally transformed it. They are very professional, approachable and very hard workers, they have kept me updated at every stage of the project and have found solutions to all problems that have occurred, the garden has been kept clean throughout and cleaned to a high standard before they left, have have made sure that I am happy at every stage of the project. The workmanship is of an high standard, I would highly recommend these three lads of Certified Construction and will be using them again for any future projects.
