I recently hired a plumber to replace a faulty Conex gate valve in my utility cupboard, and I’m very pleased with the service received. The plumber was knowledgeable, and completed the job efficiently. He had the correct tools for the job, including a pipe-freezing kit, which allowed him to carry out the valve replacement smoothly. After installing the new 22mm Pegler PB300 full‑bore lever ball valve, he flushed the pipework thoroughly to clear out the degraded rubber debris that had been clogging my taps. He also took the time to clean the tap aerators, restoring proper water flow throughout the flat. In addition to the main job, he kindly inspected my toilet, which had been constantly leaking water into the bowl. He diagnosed the issue straight away, advised me on the exact part needed, and thanks to his guidance I was able to order and fit the part the next day problem solved. Overall, excellent service: professional, efficient, and helpful. I would definitely recommend him.

I wouldn't write a review normally but I feel others should be aware of this. I was wary due to reviews saying he was slow and didn't appear to know what he was talking about. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt so accepted the quote and paid the 40% deposit. A bathroom electric radiator fit, involving some chasing of wiring into the wall and a certificate on completion was estimated to take 1-2 days. After 3 separate visits (2.5 days), it was made clear to me that the equipment required to test the circuit (to give certification) needed calibration and would need sending away, there was no time frame given for the return. I had a radiator on the wall, wiring chased, but nothing connected. I followed up twice calls and a text (1st after 2 weeks, then 2 weeks after that) to get a clearer time for a return to finish the job. After the final text message I received nothing for 3 weeks, at this point I could only guess he had abandoned the job. I heard from Donald out of the blue 53 days after the job had started, that he could return to finish. By this time I had had an entire kitchen fitted and the electrician on site finished Donald's work. Completely unprofessional, AVOID.

Andrew is a very polite and knowledgeable person who takes a pride in his work to not only ensure that his work is completed to a professional standard but also ensures customer satisfaction before making sue that any rubbish & mess is cleared up before he leaves the job. Andrew has carried out several jobs for both me and my family and the past and we have always been happy with the work that is always carried out to a professional standard. On this occasion my bathroom toilet inner float was stuck causing a constant water loss. This was not a simple job as it is a fitted bathroom with the cistern on the wall inside a cabinet situated under a solid bathroom work surface and sink combined which was totally sealed in. This required removal of all the taps, associated pipework and sealing around the work top before eventual removal to gain access to the cistern. After replacing the cistern everything had to be refitted before replacing the work top and resealing all around once again. This whole job was also carried out without out any damage to the tiles on the wall around the area. . The whole job was completed to an excellent standard and despite several problems still within the quote price.
