My experience with Stuart was very disappointing, and surprising given that his other reviews are so positive. As part of our whole-house renovation, he agreed to take on a job including the installation of a combi boiler, cutting and replacing a soil pipe, and installing a cold feed for a dishwasher and washing machine. Unfortunately, he was not up to the task. It turned out that he was unable to cut or remove the soil pipe after all, so we had to get someone else to do that. He required help for simple tasks like draining the old boiler tank with a siphon or finding the stop valve for the water, made baffling decisions like trying to drill through reinforced concrete just above some pre-existing holes, and installed our boiler with the incorrect diameter of pipes in a way that our new plumber considers seriously inappropriate. The job overran by two days and would have gone on into the next week had we not been firm. Stuart was difficult to work with, showing rudeness and a bad temper when talking to my wife, and seemed to spend as much time in his van as working on the job. I think he has good intentions and is able to do straightforward jobs based on his other reviews, but I can’t recommend him at all. Working with him was by far the most stressful and unpleasant part of the renovation.
