I have been installing flooring for over 40 years, in all variety of floor covering. In 2011, I semi-retired and took up a position at UK Flooring Direct as their Product & Technical training manager, although I continued to fit floors on my weekends. During my time at UKFD, I encountered many issues where their customers, were getting bad service from the installers they were using and so after 5 years, I gave up the desk job and returned to full time fitting, knowing l could do a better job.

I am a double checker cut once handyman, don’t like mistakes. If something isn’t right or at my standard I like to put right.
