Mike was great to deal with, from initial communication through to completing the job. The old stone floor was removed without any damage to the underfloor heating, and the new wooden floor was fitted beautifully. Great value too! A big thanks to Mike and Lucas.

I hired Rob to level my sloped floor and lay laminate. He had great reviews and seemed trustworthy. On day 2, I emailed him to say the slope was still there. On day 3, Rob and his colleague bizarrely denied I’d ever asked for the slope to be fixed, even though it was clearly stated in my ad. They claimed I’d only mentioned a “bounce,” which was never an issue. They tried to gaslight me with excuses like “it’s within building regs,” “it’s level, just not straight,” and “you never said it was sloping.” No solutions were offered. With a disabled son and three cats, I couldn’t cope with the mess, so I asked them to just finish and leave. Rob reduced the bill from £1453 to £1156 and promised an itemised receipt, which never came. £220 of that was for a cancelled skip, so the actual reduction was £77. I bought the laminate, so I paid £1156 just to have it laid—on a still sloping floor. I feel totally misled, patronised, and duped. I can't afford to have it redone. The 4⁰slope is now 8⁰-1.1⁰
