Anthony did a great job from start to finish. Having had a few quotes, some cheaper, I decided to hire Anthony for the job as his quote was fair, thorough and clear about the process, materials, time needed, I did not get this assurance from some of the cheaper quotes. He listened carefully to what I was looking to do and make some good suggestions to help achieve the look I wanted for my decking. Communication was clear at all times during the job. Once the job started, Anthony was punctual each day, organised and ensured the site was kept clean at all times. I am very happy with the decking and standard of work achieved. I would highly recommend Anthony and AJK Building and would definitely hire him again for any future jobs.

Oh MY!!! The gentleman, yes, gentleman, who completed the job was brilliant. He even had a fabulous lady who accompanied him to make sure that all was well, hold things in place and she rolled up her sleeves! He quoted fairly, arranged for all of the materials and in true gentleman fashion, would not leave until the job was completed in the time that he set! He has beautiful manners, is a great carpenter and was especially understanding to my particular needs and situation - I am the middle man, carrying out the job for the owner. He tidied up and left the place beautifully clean when he left and arranged to sort out left over building materials. Overall, he (and his wonderful counterpart) made the entire veranda build a pleasure! I am already trying to book him again, so that I can get in the queue. I will warn you (happily - LOL) his building methods are SO STRONG, the Victorian house will possibly fall down before his veranda does! Solid JOB!! plce

I was excited about working with Josh as he had such great feedback from other clients, and he did not disappoint. Excellent communication right from the off and very clear about what was involved, so was able to provide a detailed quote all of which made sense. He thought through what was needed in advance so there were no surprises or delays on the day. His price was reasonable although I’d have been happy to pay a bit over the odds for someone who didn’t mess me around, as has sadly so often been my experience in the past. He arrived on time to do the work, did it, cleaned up - and even did a few extra little jobs for me around the house (putting up shelves and a guitar hanger) while waiting for the paint to dry. A lovely guy, clearly skilled at what he does, and definitely someone I’ll be calling on again. Don’t hesitate to hire him!
