We are extremely pleased with the new concrete base and paving which Mick has completed, in readiness for our new shed installation. There was quite a bit of old concrete to uplift and remove, before Mick could lay the new base, a job we knew would be a challenge, but Mick made it look easy (even though we knew it was back breaking work), Mick’s professional in his approach to his work and has a very keen eye for detail. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Mick to anyone in need of his services. A very nice job done, many thanks to you Mick.

Dan and Sam are extremely polite and actually listen to your requirements. They discussed potential problems and solutions rather than just doing it the easiest way for them, which we appreciated. The job took longer than expected because they had to work in appalling weather conditions but they weren't deterred and erected gazebos, rather than delay the job. There were a couple of minor issues which none of us had noticed at first but they came back immediately to rectify them. We are very happy with the standard of their work and have no hesitation in recommending them. It is clearly of utmost importance to them that their customer is completely satisfied and we are!

If anyone is looking for a GREAT builder then I would recommend J (Jamie) Hughes Construction. Jamie & his small team are just nearing the end of building us a single storey, vaulted ceiling, dining room extension and it is FAB-U-LOUS. In fact the build finish has exceeded our expectations. I could say more but suffice to say, if you want a 1st class job done Jamie Hughes has got to be worth contacting. I'd happily be a referee for Jamie & his team and will equally happily do viewings for anyone who wants to come and see his quality workmanship.

Richie and Paul did various jobs for us: removed part of an existing deck, stripped old stairs down, created the new new stairs foundation and rebuilt the new stairs, fitted the new drain pipe, fixed the garden wall and placed back the decking. We would definitely recommend them. They were punctual, tidy, really good in communicating what is going on, providing their advice, completed the job wonderfully and all that with a really fair price. We have already agreed for them to come back for another job in our garden.

They did an overall good job, tidy and clean. The taller one was more professional for sure but they made a miscalculation with a wall, the shorter one kept arguing saying that he did the job right despite his own measuring showing it was wrong, had to show him the text from my architect that detailed the measurements and even still he argued, the taller one mediated and agreed that they were wrong so they did rectify the issue.
