He was very helpful and straightforward from the first quote visit and answered my questions clearly at that meeting and while conducting the job. Very disappointed. When he came to price the job he quote 1300. He said 600 for labour and 700 for materials. I even paid him before he completed the work. He returned yesterday to complete the job and charge me another 180£ because the bathroom door could not close so he had to cut into the frame. I told him he was being unfair because he quoted me a price and now he is asking for more money. The job is not even completed. He put fillers in the areas that was damaged and he told me when it is dried I must sand it then paint it. I now have to pay someone else to complete the work. I am not happy. I have taken photos which I would like to show. He said the door frame was not part of the job.

Was worried at first as you're always advised to use builders recommended preferably by family or friends. I used this website so was very unsure. However I needn't have worried. Really great job done. I was so pleased with the job they did on my loft conversion; they are now doing my large kitchen extension.

Miguel did a great job at a good price and was extremely helpful, both with very useful advice – which we followed – and by picking up for us material we had ordered that we would otherwise have hired a van to fetch. The jobs he did for us, including flooring and fitting a new window, were perfect and quickly done. He cleaned up so well that after he had gone only a transformed kitchen and shower room showed he had been there.

Bogdan was efficient and professional. He did the few jobs that needed doing straight away and for a very competitive price. He was flexible around when I could be at home and kept me updated with when and what he was planning to do and took away all the rubbish and tidied after himself once the jobs were done. Everything was completed in the time he had set and to a good level.

We used Spencer to build a large garden shed. From the beginning Spencer was prompt, professionally and easy to deal with. His quote was competitive and he started the works when he said we would. Despite the works taking longer than expected (British weather) Spencer didn't grumble, try to increase his price or compromise on the quality of his work. Spencers commitment to making sure the customer is truly happy is a rare trait in contractors these days. The work he did far exceeded my expectations. I have already recommended him to several friends and would happily use for future works.
