Diego came to my house to install coving and skirting boards. He was in for 2.5 days – it felt like a 3 week nightmare. Diego doesn’t use dust sheets, or lay down mats on the floor – and he doesn’t cut the wood outside so your house isn’t absolutely covered in sawdust. By the end of the 2.5 days my house was an absolute mess – caulk and filler smeared all over my slate floors, walls and even front door – and sawdust everywhere – that lovely mixture then had water added to it when Diego decided he would put back my radiators (I told him I would do it) and broke a valve thus flooding my living room. Fortunately nothing is Diego’s fault – the valve broke because it was “wobbly” (it was 3 months old – it was not “wobbly”). And the reason he didn’t put dust sheets or mats down is because he thought he was only doing the coving (ah so the mess from that is fine), and the reason the skirting board sits 5cm (not an exaggeration) from the wall is because the house has funny angles (Diego has no way of measuring the angles because he’s missing half the tools he needs to do the job – he borrowed my electric screwdriver, drill, sandpaper, screws, ladder, rawplugs etc – and has no workbench so was cutting everything on floor). And finally when attempting to tidy the mess at the end of his work – he decided the smart way to get the smeared filler and caulk off my lovely black slate floor would be to sand it. I’m now having to find someone to fix the scratches all over my floor.

I highly recommend Baljit - he came and quoted the job ..then spent time with us to purchase the materials and then came back on the agreed day to do the job. His work is very clean & professional, he changed our stair rails and spindles & posts. Giuseppe and his team are top level professionals able to give qualified advice and real expertise. In renovating our art gallery, they showed real old-time mastery from the beginning. They not only helped us study the most suitable solutions for the features of our place both for the flooring and the walls painting, but also showed amazing precision and care in carrying out the whole renovation project by applying the renowned knowledge of Italian master masons. While other builders had cursorily told us that any laminate would be good, the one that Giuseppe and team suggested us was selected by considering both the resistance to the clomping and the desired aesthetic result. Also, they adopted all the special arrangements needed to prevent the wood floor from bulging and lifting. They suggested us the type and the colour for the skirting board, making the gallery even more refined. The works were terminated in the estimated time and the fantastic result in terms of elegance, sophistication and safety has been possible thanks to the reliability and attention to detail of Giuseppe and team. We were so satisfied that we decided to hire them for all the other works needed (ceiling painting, walls painting, positioning of the anti UV film in our windows, enforcement and lifting up of the electrical track for the lighting system). All these works were completed with mastery and are still contributing to fascinate all the visitors at the gallery!
