Not a big job, but definitely fiddly, as I have an old house with walls that are not straight. While it gives the house character, the work certainly required a carpenter with a lot of skill and care. I chose WG Builders to complete the work and have to say that it was the best decision I could have made. Bill contacted me promptly and came over to look at the work that needed doing. He talked to me about my options regarding the different types of skirting and sizes I could have, explaining which would look best (he was right). The work was completed 6 days later and what a transformation. I feel extremely lucky to have found such a competent, professional, trustworthy carpenter. The price quoted was very reasonable and the workmanship was outstanding. I love the edging which Bill has put on the end of the skirting where it comes to a stop at the fireside hearth. Before it was just a straight cut, now I have a beautiful fancy looking edge which is very eye-catching and has already been commented on by visitors. Bill is knowledgeable, professional, polite and neat and tidy. I would not hesitate to recommend Bill to anyone looking to have work completed. You won't be disappointed.
