Loft Conversion- 21 Sep 2024
First of all, Manuel, Mike and the team are life savers. They took on our small but rather complex loft conversion after we were badly let down by the previous builders. The job involved the replacement of the whole roof structure including the installation of steel beams, adding Velux roof lights, an ensuite bathroom, electrics, plumbing, skimming and decorating plus installing a whole new staircase. Despite various challenges the team stayed positive throughout and always managed to find a solution. We did have limited space and lived and worked onsite alongside the works which was not an easy undertaking. Manuel and his team managed to get the job completed to our satisfaction and we are very happy with the results. Naturally, with a complex project like this there is always room for improvement in terms of planning and communication and working efficiently with the various trades. Ultimately, if you're looking for reliable and outcome-focused builders we can only recommend MMMB.

Some damp in the corner of the lounge that is an outside wall. Paul removed bricks, cleaned out the cavity, replaced the bricks, replaced the pointing, replaced some roof tiles that had slipped (and had possibly contributing to the problem), cleaned out the guttering htat had foliage growing from it, THEN he repaired a garden fence that was unattached to my neighbours (without me asking him to) in such a way that it didn't screw into my neighbours birckwork in anyway, but had made a very strong/solid anchor for it.

Bill quoted for the rendering job but I also had him quote for some internal plastering. He has completed the plastering with the rendering on hold for now. I would highly recommend Bill who provided a detailed quote and when asked to do a bit more kept me informed of the additional costs. He was reliable as in turning up when arranged and worked hard. Having used Plasterer's before I can say Bill was the tidiest I have experienced and obviously respectful of working in someone else's home. His work was to a high standard and I got the impression that he wouldn't be happy if a job wasn't done right. I would recommend Bill for your plastering needs.

Jason dismantled existing and rebuilt a new oak porch with brick walls, render, floor tiles and lights. His attention to detail is excellent. Great communication right through the project, straightforward costings, and transparent materials purchasing process all made the project run very smoothly. Jason was very helpful and open-minded when discussing and agreeing design as the project progressed and his joinery skills came into their own when jointing the oak etc! Altogether a pleasant experience with a great end result. Would highly recommend Jason.

I have just had work done in the kitchen by JJE, and it is of the highest standard. I would recommend them to anybody, I am very happy, and they were very tidy after the work was finished. The work done in the kitchen consisted of plaster board, plastering, and painting. Part of the work was done around the skylight and they did neat tiling in the kitchen.
