Dan the Handyman Property Services
Rating: 4.9 out of 5
Carpenter & Joiner in Notting Hill
Dan the Handyman (DTH) Property Services provides reliable, high-quality handyman and property maintenance work across West London and surrounding areas. I have several years’ experience in property operations, professional removals and hands-on void property maintenance. I carry out general repairs, fixtures and fittings, door and lock work, furniture assembly, minor painting, silicone work and end-of-tenancy repairs. I can complete individual jobs or take care of a list of smaller repairs and improvements in one visit. I’m particularly experienced with locks, handles, hinges and door adjustments, including careful making good where required. Furniture assembly is another strong area, from beds and storage units to large mirrored wardrobes. Proper alignment and secure fixings are what keep furniture solid, square and working properly for years. Having previously run a removals business, I understand how to work carefully around customers’ homes and belongings. I communicate clearly and leave every job clean and tidy.

I’m a first and second fix carpenter/joiner with 10 years of experience. I have experience working with listed joinery, green oak framing and all modern carpentry applications. I have a broad skill set and am an excellent communicator, I'm very happy to work closely with clients to achieve exactly what they desire for their project. I've got experience making fitted furniture, can do sash window repairs and am happiest hanging doors and fitting locks. I'm looking for shorter term work as i'm currently full time employed with a conservation charity doing work on some of Britain's most treasured buildings.

This was the worst experience of my life, this man is a nightmare so PLEASE do never allow this person to enter your house!!! They do not speak English (maybe some of them are illegal here), which made things much more complicated for me... the promise was to finish the work in 2 weeks and after 7 weeks they started asking for more money without finishing the work... I refused to pay all he was asking for and Youcef was insulting (calling the worst names someone can imagine) and threatening me inside my property... saying that he wouldn't give me my keys back if didn't pay him around £4,300 for things that I didn't even know he was charging me for... saying that he would break things in my place etc... so I had to call the police and they kicked him out. Before living, Youcef ON PURPOSE damaged my property everywhere he could..., cutting cables to leave me without electricity, damaging the floor heater in the kitchen, the light panel in the living room, etc... I reported him to the police! Please do not trust these people.

I cannot recommend Enio highly enough. He installed all the fire doors at our property, and the quality of his workmanship was outstanding from start to finish. Enio was professional, reliable, punctual, and took great pride in his work. His attention to detail was exceptional, ensuring every fire door was fitted to a very high standard and fully compliant. He kept the work area tidy, communicated well throughout the project, and completed everything within the agreed timescale. It’s refreshing to find a tradesperson who genuinely cares about the quality of their work. Thanks to Enio, we now have complete confidence in the safety and finish of our property. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone needing fire door installation or carpentry work. Mixed experience, generally good, but still haven't returned to correct their work. Not replying to my messages or calls for several months and I have to pay another builder to do the work they have not done right. I didn't do the full parquet replacement with them as I hired specialists but they did a replacement subfloor. They did a good job of putting a chipboard floor down. But moderate job of a lounge subfloor. Came back to do some noggins as requested by floor fitters as the ply they fitted was moving between sheets at some points. We agreed to do the subfloor in 22mm but without telling me they did it in 18mm. They offered to add 6mm ply on top when I told them but will charge me for material, free labour, but never returned and calls not answered. They said the building merchant had no 22mm ply. They didn't pre order it. Should have told the customer before installing something else. Work is mostly good. Generally tidy at the end. But communication is lacking. Good price.
