The standard of this company's carpenters is excellent; they are professional and skilled. The reason for the negative review is because of their offices customer service. Without going into details, they were very pushy about money (demanding final payments before the tradesmen would leave the premises. They backed down on this but then re-affirmed it MUST be paid before the end of the day) and then numerous demands for payments upfront. I was happy to pay one instalment upfront (before the job started), but was unhappy when I was asked for another payment because I would not be in on the day they wanted to come round and finish the job, a day that was never mentioned previously and that I was never available on. This is for a two day job of under £1000. If you are looking for skilled carpenters this company will provide them, but be prepared for a rocky customer services experience and demands for payments in advance of the job and on the day of completion.
