New staircase to be manufactured to my on-line design by internet company who use computer controlled manufacturing process. When Joe visited to assess the work he carefully checked all my measurements and advised that the height be amended to accommodate the upstairs flooring. He also pointed out that as one existing wall was not vertical, something not previously noticed, he would be able to make minor adjustments to accommodate this at the time of installation. Compared with other quotations and prices Joe’s thoroughness impressed and the price was reasonable. The new staircase took a few weeks to make/deliver then Joe, together with his assistant Ben completed the work vert satisfactorily within two days, all as previously discussed. He also advised the best protective material for me to apply to the staircase, ie a clear satin wax-oil. Joe was very knowledgeable and took care to complete the installation to a high standard and I would have no hesitation in employing his services again. M Fabian

I went on to City college Brighton where I studied level 2 site carpentry and joinery, together with an Environmental Conservation Diploma and then went on to do my level 3 carpentry. I have been taking on small jobs ever since.

Brilliant. I hired Walton Carpentry to do some skirting and cupboard doors. Alan is not only a very skiller carpenter but also clean, tidy and very helpful. I'm a low-skilled DIYer and rather than pointing out my mistakes, Alan was willing to take the time to fix my poor work and explain how I could do things better next time. Jack and his apprentice Laurie were brilliant, they built me a stud wall and fitted a new door lining for a an old door I bought on eBay. Turned out the door was warped but they made it work, it looks and works perfectly. They also fitted new skirting and architrave. They got it all done quickly and tided up well and the price was fair. I would definitely recommend.
