  Unfortunately, the job didn’t quite meet the standard we were hoping for. There was some initial miscommunication as we thought the visit was just for a quote, but he was able to fit one of the doors that day. He was also upfront that he wasn’t experienced enough to fit the double doors, which was completely fine as they are a bit unusual. There were a few issues with the single door. The side edge was cut unevenly and we needed to sand it down. Black plasterboard screws were used instead of the screws supplied with the hinges and handle, only two of the three hinges provided were fitted, and there were fairly large gaps on the hinge side. When we raised the cut and gaps, we felt he was quite defensive and put the issues down to our uneven door frames. We appreciate they aren’t perfectly square, but previous joiners who have fitted doors at our house have done perfectly neat job. He was friendly and punctual, but unfortunately we were disappointed with the overall finish.

  Daniel was great, well priced and organised materials for the job. We were kept up to date on when materials would be available and Daniel completed the job on the planned date. The job was completed to a high standard and Daniel didn't stop all day to make sure it was completed. Would definitely recommend.

  I hired this gentleman two months ago, A start date was agreed, We had to move the date to accommodate his other contract, again we waited and again left disappointed, Date was changed twice more, I had to take time off for the work to be carried out and now this chap wanted to split the job into two, we were not kept informed weekly as promised, And a no show on Thursday as promise, a message sent at 11pm on the Wednesday night stating he needed door frame sizes and tried to blame us for for not contacting him, I sent him a message again saying that I would see him that morning Thursday, I arranged another day off for him to fit the doors but again failed to attend or contact me. Now I am having to find a reliable joiner and decorator at this late stage, I would not recommend this person. Very Disappointed. He has left me back at square one struggling to find people to carry out the work.

  Stuart came and looked at the job and came up with a very sensible plan which we agreed on. His work was first class. He took up the rotten floor section and removed all the joists that needed replacing. Then renewed the floor with new boards. With the help from his plumber they did a first class job replacing the old shower with a lovely new one. Stuart then renewed the floor covering and finished the job to an amazing standard. I have invited him back to do another shower which isn't going to be such a big job and am sure he will do another great job. I would recommend him to anyone without a second thought. Thanks again to East Coast Joinery & Floor Services. Very professional and knowledgeable company. Cherrs Stuart, see you again soon.

  Ion was extremely helpful, he walked into a disaster left by previous builder, took it in his stride, thought it all through, made sensible suggestions on how to fix and put right various problems.
