Kevin was involved in thew removal of a large decking area. He also helped side by side in mixing and laying of a concrete base which was put in place to lay an Indian stone patio of 50sq metres. He has a vast knowledge in building with a lot of experience. Kevin was very reliable, punctual and hard working also very friendly. He first arrived late (7:30pm instead of 5pm) and was still using his power tools gone 10pm. The frame he built round the cupboard looked okayish so i paid him but when i tried to attach the doors they didn't fit. I asked him to come back and fix it and his answer was that the doors needed to be changed (even though they are Ikea doors made for the Ikea Pax frame). Said he'd need another £70 and then after eventually agreeing to do it for no extra charge said he'd only come back if i picked him up and gave him a lift to the station!! He ignored my next few messages so i gave up trying after that as I wasn't that keen of having him back in my house anyway. If i've asked someone to build a frame around an Ikea cupboard I don't think i should have to explicitly say that i want to be able to fit doors! I was happy to attach them myself, hence why i didn't ask him to, but they were there in big boxes (that he actually moved at one point) so it's not like he wouldn't have known i was going to be adding doors. I'd think he might think to check when deciding how to fit the frame and at the very least he could have asked. I'd suggest avoiding him at all costs. I had to ask Mybuilder to allow me to resubmit my comment as i wanted to give more detail. My first comment was very short as i don't think there's much point in slagging people off but his reply was offensive and Mybuilder had to warn him. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID unless you want to pay someone else afterwards!!!

I started working on site as a novice in February 2019, before completing an 18 month level 2 NVQ Apprenticeship, passing the end test in January 2022 (There were delays in booking tests due to Covid.) I've worked on a multitude of differently sized sites, refurbishments and in inhabited houses, doing most aspects of Carpentry. If I can get to a job and get my tools there, I can work anywhere in Thanet, and most of Kent, perhaps even close to London. Unfortunately I don't drive yet, but I am in the process of acquiring my driving license. I'm a hard working young lad and will take on any challenge if I think I am able to achieve it, I can be a little slow at times due to my perfectionism, but this will result in the absolute best finish I can give no matter the task. I can do roofing, first fixing, second fixing, kitchen fitting, fascias and soffits, flooring, timber framing, cladding, and more. I am also experienced in niche, unorthodox builds, and all the problems that come with them.
