Robert is now my builder for life. The job was to fit 6 doors but after 2 fire doors fitted (which look great), I changed my mind from doing the other 4 doors up stairs till next week, because l wanted spindles put on my stairs which wasn't on my list of jobs l have given him to do. I am very pleased it makes my hall alot lighter. He will also becoming back to decorate the stairs and hall after he puts my other 4 doors up. Then he can start on the other rooms that need wood working, decorating etc. Even the garden needs wood work doing a new double gate. By the way Rob l thought of something else that l might do a porch at the front door. I think l might just pay you a retainer for the next 5 years.

Very lovely and professional man indeed! Connor did a great job. I’m so happy with the finished bath panel he fitted. He kept the work area very clean during and after completing the work. Connor was so helpful in communicating alternatives right from the beginning and he took into account my wishes for the job. Ended up being a bit more than what he had expected to come and do, but he did it without complaining. I highly recommend Connor and will definitely go back to him for more of the work to be done in my house😊

Jason & Angus gave me a reasonable quote to fit 3 internal doors and 1 external. They spent the best part of the first day smoking out the front & chatting (not sure if they could see me watching on my cctv) anyway they started to slowly get the work done. Jason said he made a mistake by fitting one of the glazed doors instead of one of the solid ones in the lounge. Had to order another door which costed an extra £110. He fitted another internal door back to front then had to come back to change it as it was a hazard sticking out in the middle of the room which left holes and damaged the framework. The work took an extra 2 days longer than expected which was annoying but I just wanted the work finished. 3 days after he left we discovered that we could not shut the external back door as he hadn’t left any room for the door to expand and one of the internal doors is hanging off as he drilled big holes in it so I now have to buy another and pay someone to fit it! Cowboy builders!

Thank you for your comment and for taking the time to share your feedback. While I appreciate your input, I feel it’s important to provide clarity and context regarding the situation. I am not usually one to leave feedback or engage in online disputes, but in this case, your actions and the experience we had warrant an honest response so you can hopefully learn and improve in the future. From the outset, I gave you an opportunity to work on our property despite my partner’s reservations about your level of expertise. You inspected the job, gave your professional opinion, and quoted a price. Although I initially offered a different amount, I ultimately agreed to pay your full proposed cost, which you received in full. Unfortunately, the first job was done incorrectly while I was away. When I asked you to correct it, you refused unless I paid extra. You also charged for removing materials from a job that was poorly executed and wasted both our money and resources.
