We employed Ian and his team to help us develop a large plot which included a barn conversion (which as class Q was complex as it required maintaining the original timber structure and inserting a steel structure within) and the redevelopment of the existing farm house. Over a period of 2 years Ian managed the conversion into a luxury 4 bedroom home with an outdoor kitchen area, and a sizeable extension to, and complete refurbishment of, a period farmhouse, as well as a double detached garage, an annexe outbuilding, extensive landscaping and complex drainage and ground works. This project involved co-ordinating the designers (architects plus interior designers) and several contractors. We found working with Ian and his team was stress free and the completed works to be of a consistently high standard. Everyone who saw the finished buildings was impressed with the quality of finish. It was comforting to have the job in the hands of such an honest and professional team. They were particularly respectful of our young family who lived on site throughout.

BEWARE!Jamie was hired to level the ground and to lay the patio/pathway.After delays Jamie started work 10/8. More than 50% was paid upfront. On day 1 Jamie was alone & stayed 1.5hrs.He took levels, told us about what a quick & easy job it was.Day2- 3men commenced the work. No issues were raised.They left early due to the heat saying "see you tomorrow". Day 3 - Jamie & his workers did not turn up. We tried to ring him but he would not answer his phone. 11.12 I received an email stating he had booked a drain engineer for the following week & would not be doing any more work until this person had used a camera to inspect our drains. We did not ask for this and do not want it.Jamie has told us that he will not continue work until we let this happen&then pay to rectify any problems they find,stating he would not continue until this had taken place or "you would have to pay the rest of the money with no patio at the end".Jamie refuses to answer the phone, all contact has been via email. He has repeatedly been asked to continue the work he was contracted to do or return the money he has been paid.He refuses to do either. He has left our garden unsafe for my children to use, with smashed up concrete path, he has left my drive unusable as it is piled high with the soil he was paid to remove. Jamie has even threatened to sue me if I leave any negative reviews of my experience. We have since discovered Jamie previously ran two drainage engineer companies, both of which have dissolved.
