What can I say I was a novice re diy Kris came over and measured up re my flooring he came to do the job in April after sending me a quote I was happy with he turned up everyday on time and finished the job exactly when he said he would I have had some bad experiences In the past with workmen not turning up leaving a job half finished I cannot recommend Kris enough he has restored my faith thanks again Kris I will be in touch regarding my next project Also last but not least a big thanks to lee who was also very good they left my house lovely and tidy as well so thanks very much . Carpenter showed-up on time both days and finished the work ahead of schedule. Nice people and dedicated carpenters. Before living, they cleaned-up all the area and left everything tidy. I would recommend Toptan Tota and would hire them again.

Gheorghe knew his stuff. He trimmed our door, routed out the under door profile, ready to slide along the guide. He also hung the door in the rail system and fitted the jamb kit. I wished id used him before as he had worked with pocket door systems before. No problem recommending him.

I hired Carl for a garden and patio project. He seemed confident and knowledgeable at first, and his team did do a good job with the initial garden clearance and preparation. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks in it became clear the rest of the work wasn’t up to standard. The paving was laid in the wrong pattern and sloped towards the house rather than into the garden as we had discussed. Many slabs could be lifted by hand, and the retaining wall was built with unsuitable materials. There were also delays with the slab delivery and confusion over the fence panels, and I often felt I had to keep chasing for updates. Carl blamed his bricklayer, who was really bad, but a good contractor should recognise and stop poor work. To his credit, Carl refunded all my money, as he knew I had to hire other contractors to sort this out. I could see he genuinely felt bad about how things turned out. He’s a nice guy, but the workmanship was poor and I couldn’t recommend him for this type of job.
