My experience with Scott has been a nightmare. I contracted him to fit a kitchen, replace doors and skirting. I asked him if he was qualified to lay Karndean flooring and he said he was. However, he subcontracted the floor laying to someone else without consulting me. The flooring was laid which cost a lot of money and the job was substandard with several issues ranging from scratches, big gaps and several boards not stuck down. Scott agreed with my concerns initially and said he would return with the floorer to put things right. When he returned the floorer was aggressive and threatened to return to my home to sort me out. This left me afraid in my own home. Some amendments were made but there are still several issues and an independent specialist report recommends the floor is lifted completely. I have been trying to get Scott to repair the floor for four months but he says I should be grateful to have such a nice home. He has attacked me on a personal level rather than take responsibility for his error of judgment. It is fair to say that this situation is unfortunate because Scott trusted the floorer but he was let down. However, it was Scott I contracted so it is his responsibility to put things right. But he abdicates responsibility. I’ve tried hard to resolve this informally but Scott refuses to engage so I now have to take formal action which I really hoped to avoid.

From the outset we really liked John, his approach, professionalism and detailed quotation. He happily worked with us to deliver a complete transformation of our property. Very importantly, his team and himself work tirelessly, long hours and weekends as required to keep to agreed timescales for the project. John and his team did an excellent job renovating our flat. We really couldn’t be happier! John was always professional, friendly and great to work with. His team were equally pleasant and extremely hard working. John helped guide us through some decisions on finishing touches and gave us advice when dealing with another contractor. We love our bespoke built in wardrobes as these really finished off the bedrooms nicely. We would happily recommend J&M to family and friends and will keep them in mind for future work.

Sean (Sam the Handyman) responded immediately, came when he said he would which was very quickly, did the job without hanging around, showed me what had contributed to the issue and he also cleared out my gutters (long overdue) as arranged beforehand and did another small job for me on my window frame as well. Many thanks to John and the team, especially Keith- we are so pleased with the quality of the fitting of our kitchen. The old units were removed, walls and ceiling plastered, new units fitted with a lot of new plumbing and electrics within 10 days. We really appreciated that the fitting of the washing machine and sink were prioritised so that we could keep on top of laundry, and the team were really good at keeping the place clean and tidy throughout the project. There is no job that is too big or too small to approach, not forgetting safety requirements at all time. Love assembling furniture etc but happy to do general light joinery and cabinetry, wall mounting, appliance connection or replace taps. I am usually available the same day if not the same week and my prices are very reasonable which is very cost effective

Ibrahim is unusual as Joiners go on MyBuilder, in so far as the attention to detail he gives to his work. He is very informative, had excellent communication with me about the job and worked very late to finish the job to enable me to reopen my business. Ibrahim is a gentleman, very polite and cares deeply about his clients. He tries his upmost to satisfy their job requirements. I have never hired anyone on mybuilder who is so diligent. He takes his time to get things right and offers good ideas and advice to keep costs down. I really appreciate having him do work for me because I can trust that it will be done as well as possible. I have had Ibrahim do quite a few jobs for me including laminate flooring which he made a beautiful job of. He takes his time to ensure the job is done to the highest standard. He will be coming back in the next week to do more work for me. A trustworthy, honest and hard working guy. Thank you Ibrahim.
