Very disappointed. When he came to price the job he quote 1300. He said 600 for labour and 700 for materials. I even paid him before he completed the work. He returned yesterday to complete the job and charge me another 180£ because the bathroom door could not close so he had to cut into the frame. I told him he was being unfair because he quoted me a price and now he is asking for more money. The job is not even completed. He put fillers in the areas that was damaged and he told me when it is dried I must sand it then paint it. I now have to pay someone else to complete the work. I am not happy. I have taken photos which I would like to show. He said the door frame was not part of the job.

The bifold doors were fitted poorly, with visible damage caused during installation in multiple areas. The finish is very rough, lacks symmetry, and does not reflect professional workmanship. Despite claiming over 10 years’ experience, the installer required guidance throughout the job and struggled to identify parts of the system. The work needed constant intervention and correction from me. The doors have been damaged, gaps and alignment are incorrect, and the surrounding finish has been left incomplete. The property was also left in a mess, with packaging and debris not cleared away. I paid in full in good faith, which I now regret, as the standard of work does not justify the cost. I will need to pay another professional to repair and rectify the installation. I have requested a partial refund to reflect the poor workmanship and remedial costs. If this is refused, I will consider taking the matter further.
