I don't leave poor reviews lightly, but cannot recommend Dan at all. Friendly and accommodating at first, but constantly had to be chased for updates and kept pushing things back at the last minute. The last straw was trying to charge us £45 for "the cheapest latch handle [he] could find" - they're typically about £10-15, and this £45 was explicitly not including labour. He then failed to inform us until chased (the night before fitting, a week after arranging the job) that he didn't have the latch and presumably hadn't actually ordered it. Not difficult to get next-day delivery on these things from Amazon. Gets a star because he was able to fit the interior door we asked for, although it doesn't look great - but under no circumstances would I waste any more time hiring this guy again.Latest review:Carpentry-

Having worked for 3 different companies I then decided to go self employed and setup as a sole trader. I mainly specialize in fitting kitchens, fitting doors, bespoke cupboards and shelving and flooring (laminate and engineered), Stair work including new handrails and spindles and glass ballustrades. Also have a lot of experience servicing and draught proofing sash windows. The main first fix work I carry out is partition walls including plasterboarding and fitting door linings. I have many satisfied customers and always aim to work in a tidy and efficient manner. Fully qualified and insured.
Stuart fitted 4 doors for me. The work was very well done, and cleaned and tidy up after himself. Would recommend him to anyone.

Nathan was brilliant. He helped me decide what I wanted whilst being honest about the work I requested. Unfortunately his labourer had an accident when we initially planned for the work to be done but he let me know asap and we rescheduled for soon after. Great work too. Looks great, I love my loft ladder and shelves!

Ronald came and gave me a very reasonable quote. He was professional and courteous. He managed to fit me in at short notice also. It was a small job, but one I'd been putting off for far too long. Ronald arrived on the day and was very professional. Got the job done exactly how I wanted. No dilly dallying. Just a consummate, experienced professional. Very friendly as well. Would use again. He came to have a look, quoted reasonably and then fixed it the next day along with a few other bits clearing up after himself. Jim is a really nice man who works hard and is skilled.
