Joe did a really great job installing cupboards in the bedroom and hall of my flat, his attention to detail was really impressive, he also hung doors and fitted shelves in difficult to reach places. Paul and his son did an excellent job removing and installing a brand new kitchen. This involved re plastering as well as relocating key appliances in accordance with the new kitchen plan. He also attended to other renovations, levelling a floor, sorting out a leaking toilet and installing a new floor in that room, removing and repairing tiling, and repainting the kitchen. Very pleased with the results which are amazing!

I could not recommend Dale Smith. Whilst he did a reasonable job removing the fitted bedroom furniture, he did not fulfil the brief. He did not make good the walls and ceiling to an acceptable standard. It was less than a days work and I was paying him nearly £800. He fitted all the furniture into his van, ready to take to the tip. When I asked him to return to complete the job, he replied that if I didn’t pay him he would return and leave all the fitted furniture on my door step. I paid him £700 but then had to employ another tradesperson to fill the holes left in the walls and ceiling, so that I could have the room painted.

I would like to bring to your attention the unfortunate situation I have had to face with the carpenter. After inspecting the job on-site, we agreed on a price of £1500 to complete four pocket doors with door furniture, install a timber box lined with insulation around the bioethanol fireplace/TV doors, create small cupboards to box on the manifold and the electric meter, and one large cupboard under the stairs. However, the carpenter failed to deliver on his promises and demanded the full amount, changing the quote from a project quote to a per day quote (mind you, he and another guy worked for 2 days). Despite my trust in his abilities, he only completed three pocket doors without any door furniture and installed the timber around the bioethanol fireplace/TV doors. The cupboards created to box on the manifold is too closed in, making it impossible to service the manifold. The carpenter also failed to deliver the large cupboard under the stairs, citing a lack of time, which he “leveraged” to help his colleague install the remaining pocket doors, which never happened. As a result, I had to pay extra to install the other pocket doors (which was done in 20mins by another carpenter), door furnitures, and now, redo the manifold box. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of work and the lack of professionalism displayed by the carpenter. I hate writing negative reviews for small businesses but I hope this serves as a cautionary tale for anyone considering hiring him.
