Donal just completed number of jobs at my place including, Skirting, Coving, Radiator covers, Boxing gas pipes and replacing a door. We were introduced to R.J. Lucas & Sons Ltd by a friendly local builder, Alan G. Longman. Mr Richard Lucas Jnr, with a colleague, undertook all the essential joinery work, inside and out. We were favourably impressed, not only by the quality of the workmanship but also by the way in which it was done. They were reliably prompt and considerate, clean workers and, a quality which I rate as important, they were always willing to suggest better solutions to any given problem. A good instance would be the problem that was created by the existing ground flooring being wood blocks laid 40 years ago, which were near impossible to colour match. Their solution to this challenge provided a hallway which we are still enjoying today. After the completion of the new extension, there were many and varied joinery needs in order to bring the whole house up to the high standard of the extension. Mr Lucas never hesitated to agree to tackle each and every one, regardless of the nature of the work. This cheerful co-operation was much appreciated by us and we would be happy to recommend R.J. Lucas & Sons Ltd to anyone seeking reliable, capable, happy and honest construction workers.

Could not recommend or rate Karl higher if I tried, after recently becoming a homeowner I had Karl come and give me prices for some jobs I wanted doing, initially the skirting boards, after talking to him and realising just how versatile he was he ended up doing most of the house. He’s completed a media wall, moved a stud wall, completed panelling in a dining area, fitted wardrobes and acoustic panels, laid flags in the fireplace and in an emergency he managed to fix a massive cracked pipe with a leak behind a wall and saved me a fortune. His prices are so fair, especially for the quality of the work, he treats the job as if he was working on his own home, nothing is rushed and his focus is on doing the job properly. Really nice fella and easy to talk to about the work that’s going on, already have him booked in to do more jobs, my house would be nowhere near where it’s at now without him
