NorthWest Lime Plastering - I have just completed my apprenticeship The Heritage Building Skills Program with Historic England. Where I have been taught for the past three and a half years by a Lime Plasterer. In this time I have worked on solely pre1920s and listed buildings. This is because 99% percent of these buildings would of been made using lime mortar and lime plaster internally and externally. They also will of been solid wall properties meaning no cavity wall. So the use of lime in these buildings is essential. I have spent most of my time correcting the damage caused by improper materials being used on these buildings, mainly cement and gypsum products. On the contrary to working on these buildings as part of my course I also undertook the NVQ level 2 plastering course which I have just completed. So am proficient in most modern areas of plastering as well as heritage work. I can provide pictures of work completed but please bare in mind these were done in collaboration with my apprenticeship mentor so do not solely reflect my own work, although I am capable. I have just started out on my own and am looking for some good projects to get me going. Thank you Chris
